Misty Mountain Wildlife Refuge

Misty Mountain Wildlife Refuge is a 330 acre farm which provides sanctuary to kangaroos, wallabies, wombats, echidnas and many bird species including their habitats. There are Alpacas and Sheep, Kangaroos, Wombats, Kookaburras, Echidnas and many other animals that enjoy this property. The land has 80 acres of cleared grassland this side of the river, and for the adventurous and energetic you can rome the other 250 acres by crossing to the other side of the rive, there are large stands of rainforest and bushland, with 2.5 km of Brown Mountain Creek and its tributary meandering through it. There are some swimming holes and mini rapids; the crystal clear water flowing over the river rocks can be heard from most parts of the farm. The land comprises Little Brown Mountain and has 360 degree views of the surrounding mountains and farmland with wonderful cloud formations and mists contributing their mystery and beauty to the dramatic landscape. There is an orchard with trees producing several varieties of apple, stone fruit and citrus in abundance. A cottage garden produces various vegetables and herbs such as spinach, celery, potatoes, garlic, chives, lettuce, rocket, parsley, turmeric, peas, beans, tomato etc. Past bushfire damage to some trees in the cleared paddocks is evident however, many are recovering well and most provide photographers with interesting and dramatic subject matter. Due to the catastrophic events of the NSW bush fires in this area all camp fires must be kept responsibly safe and no unsafe camp fires will be tolerated. Thank you for visiting farm.

We purchased our 200-acre property after it was devastated by the Summer 2019/20 bushfires. We are new to farming and are learning to live on the land. The property came with sheep which we are also learning a lot about, we also have an extremely friendly kelpie named Sage. We are interested in the idea of becoming organic farmers, love to do our bit for the environment, and want to live a more sustainable lifestyle. We grow herbs and vegetables, have a few fruit trees, and can't wait to plant more. We have fallen in love with farming life and want our farm to be a place of learning and enjoyment and can't wait to share the little place we call home. So Good Farm is situated 20 minutes west of Pambula Beach on the Sapphire Coast. The property is surrounded by trees and is filled with an abundance of wildlife. There is a creek that runs through the property and a spring feed dam. Plenty of walking tracks throughout the hilly property with amazing views at various spots, especially the peak of the property, if you are up for the challenge. The property also backs onto a national park. The closest town is only 5min away where you can pick up food supplies and fuel.

Pitch your tent or park your campertrailer in the native bushland with the pristine Numeralla River as your boundary fence. This 3000 acre property is located close to Nimmitabel and not too far from Cooma. Try your hand at trout fishing and enjoy endless tracks for bushwalking and observing the native wildlife. Wander along the river banks just enjoying the serenity of the location and witness platypus feeding, water dragons sunning themselves and the brown trout fly feeding and one of Australia's beautiful but lesser known native rodents, Rakali (intelligent semi aquatic water rat who's scientific name translates to golden -bellied water mouse). One of Australia's two aquatic mammals, the platypus being the other. This campsite suits self-contained campers who bring their own camping toilet/shower. IF NO CHEMICAL TOILET, DIG A HOLE AT LEAST 30CM DEEP . There is access to a drinking water supply (mountain river water), or you can bring your own water. After heavy rain you may need to boil/filter for drinking. You will need a 4WD to access the campsites closest to the river as there is a shallow gully crossing. Camper trailer or off road pop up campers will be able to negoiate the tracks. Good clearance necessary to pass over one gully crossing. Dogs are welcome, however, we do run sheep in an adjoining paddock so they need to stay close to your camp. Kids aged 16 and under camp for free. There is a dedicated campfire pit so you can stay warm on chilly evenings (please check to see if there is a seasonal fire ban in place). Fire wood can be provided - chainsaws are permitted but be mindful of structures that are animal habitats. Your family may enjoy taking a bushwalk that takes you around the 300 acre native bush paddock. Climb up and get a birds eye view down into a gully of magnificent granite boulders above where the river disappears deep below. Identify the unique sounds of the native birds and follow the tracks wildlife create. We are centrally located - just 1.5 hours from the snowfields and from the best beaches of the NSW coastline. There is a small general store, 2 takeaway cafes and a pub at Nimmitabel, or you can get all supplies in Cooma 25 mins away. Please note that we have very limited reception service for mobiles, so let's communicate via messages before you arrive in our area. I can provide a camping setup if you need extra bedding or you don't have any camping equipment or tent.

Glennbrooke River Camp offers approximately 1.2 km of stunning river frontage which feeds into the beautiful Wagonga Inlet. Campers are required to be fully self sufficient with their OWN toilet/shower facilities and must take all waste and rubbish with them on departure. LEAVE NO TRACE. CARS MUST BE 4WD IF TOWING The property borders Bodalla State Forest and Box Cutting rainforest walk where you can find multiple mountain bike and walking tracks. We are just 15 minutes from beautiful Narooma beach and township where you can find everything you need for your stay. There is also a fire pit available at each site and you can purchase firewood,Let us know what you require and we have it ready for your stay. Pets are welcome but please only let them off-leash if they are friendly and won't disturb other campers. Free Dump points are located at Dalmeny and Moruya. Please note: Whilst we can accept motorhomes and campervans in normal weather conditions, if there has been heavy rain access is effected and these vehicles will struggle to get to the campsites. We will do our best to keep an eye on the weather report, and let you know if we have any concerns. We ask that you kindly do the same.

Pitch your tent, pull up your van, park your caravan or camper trailer! Come and share our magical slice of paradise here on the pristine Sapphire Coast in a small valley called Nethercote. Our little farm is part of the original Dairy farm of the area and we are currently renovating and revegetating the property. We have two spring fed creeks on the property with a swimming hole, we are surrounded by National Parks, pristine beaches and the beautiful Nethercote Falls is only 5 minutes up the road. Close to two sweet coastal towns, Eden 7minutes and Pambula 15minutes drive. Lots of bird and insect life along with our little herd of sheep and geese. We are currently developing permaculture systems for our home and garden and part of the system is we have a composting toilet for campers! We love animals and we are happy for you to bring your dog only if it is friendly with other dogs because we have 4 friendly dogs here. As long as you keep your dog on a lead as we have livestock. Please contact us prior to discuss dog situation. We have a fire pit and firewood for sale. The camp sites overlook the creek and we are on a sealed road for easy access.

See kangaroos, wallabies and wombats and if you are lucky an echidna or deer! Horses also live here and are separate from the camping area. We accept only a small number of campers to ensure everyone has a few acres each and peace and quiet to enjoy the natural surroundings. Sites are generally more secluded as go from 1 to 10. All sites are walking distance to a composting toilet. Good phone reception everywhere. Dogs welcome. They can go off leash if supervised during the day. No loud music. No loud parties. No motorbikes. No generators. Please keep noise to a minimum. 5 mins drive to Bournda NP and Lagoon/Island/Beach, more beaches, Tura Beach Woolworths, petrol station. 10 mins drive to Merimbula, Magic Mountain and Tathra. Firepits provided. Firewood; We can bring you a pile of firewood once you are set-up, $30. Or if you BYO chainsaw we can let you know where to cut wood.

We are not and never will be a 'caravan park' - your group will have exclusive use of the campsite. Each are far from each other, both are right near to - or very close to - the river. Our guests love the tranquility and not having to share! Fish the river for flathead or bream and enjoy it for dinner by the campfire. Bring your kayak or SUP or just enjoy a swim in the clear sandy-bottom river. Once your booking request has been confirmed, let us know if you need more specific directions so you can find us easily. Well behaved (spoilt) dogs okay but please no hunting type dogs. Both sites have access to separate taps for fresh drinking water. Site #2 has access to our composting toilet. You'll need to bring your own chemical toilet for Site #1 (near) Boatramp site. Firewood can be collected from the property or supplied at a small fee (you can book this when you book your site). Feel free to collect your own kindling - plenty around). Good mobile reception on the Telstra network. PLEASE NOTE: the property is currently listed for sale. Pitch your tent or park your campertrailer in the native bushland with the pristine Numeralla River as your boundary fence. This 3000 acre property is located close to Nimmitabel and not too far from Cooma. Try your hand at trout fishing and enjoy endless tracks for bushwalking and observing the native wildlife. Wander along the river banks just enjoying the serenity of the location and witness platypus feeding, water dragons sunning themselves and the brown trout fly feeding and one of Australia's beautiful but lesser known native rodents, Rakali (intelligent semi aquatic water rat who's scientific name translates to golden -bellied water mouse). One of Australia's two aquatic mammals, the platypus being the other. This campsite suits self-contained campers who bring their own camping toilet/shower. IF NO CHEMICAL TOILET, DIG A HOLE AT LEAST 30CM DEEP . There is access to a drinking water supply (mountain river water), or you can bring your own water. After heavy rain you may need to boil/filter for drinking. You will need a 4WD to access the campsites closest to the river as there is a shallow gully crossing. Camper trailer or off road pop up campers will be able to negoiate the tracks. Good clearance necessary to pass over one gully crossing. Dogs are welcome, however, we do run sheep in an adjoining paddock so they need to stay close to your camp. Kids aged 16 and under camp for free. There is a dedicated campfire pit so you can stay warm on chilly evenings (please check to see if there is a seasonal fire ban in place). Fire wood can be provided - chainsaws are permitted but be mindful of structures that are animal habitats. Your family may enjoy taking a bushwalk that takes you around the 300 acre native bush paddock. Climb up and get a birds eye view down into a gully of magnificent granite boulders above where the river disappears deep below. Identify the unique sounds of the native birds and follow the tracks wildlife create. We are centrally located - just 1.5 hours from the snowfields and from the best beaches of the NSW coastline. There is a small general store, 2 takeaway cafes and a pub at Nimmitabel, or you can get all supplies in Cooma 25 mins away. Please note that we have very limited reception service for mobiles, so let's communicate via messages before you arrive in our area. I can provide a camping setup if you need extra bedding or you don't have any camping equipment or tent.
