Welcome to this remote piece of paradise! Rhapsody is located in Gingkin,, which is not far from Oberon NSW, about 3 hours west of Sydney. Campsites are hidden in a remote valley direct frontage to the pristine Hollanders River, adjoining the Kanangra-Boyd National Park. There are two private campsites on grassy river flats surrounded by eucalyptus forest. The sites are very secluded so you will see lots of wildlife and you're guaranteed not to see any other people! Only one group can stay at each campsite and campsites are on different parts of the river so privacy is guaranteed. In dry conditions 2WD is fine for Wallaby flat but in wet weather, 4WD is required. Platypus flat is 4wd only. You can always park at the top of the hill and walk down first if you're not sure. Dog friendly. Campfires permitted in a designated area when restrictions aren't in place. Gather your own wood from fallen timber on the way in or BYO wood. Not much firewood available on site. Both campsites can get quite cool as they are low in the valley. This is a wild and remote area. Guided remote bushwalks also available for those who are fit and adventurous. Both campsites have a pit toilets, cold shower, spring water on tap, picnic tables.. Water is sourced from a distant spring in the mountain and is gravity fed to the site by above ground pipe which heats the water during the day. There is a small area where you can get Telstra mobile reception at the cattle grid on the way into the property, but very limited mobile reception in this area. If you are on Optus or other networks you won't get any reception. There is no mobile reception at camp - perfect for disconnecting and reconnecting with nature!

Noonameena is a 100 acre natural bushland property located approx 7kms outside of Berrima, NSW in the Southern Highlands. While most of the property is covered by a variety of natural bushland, a small flat area of cleared land is perfect for recreational campers. The property has access to the Wingecarribee River to the south, a natural pool and large dam in the camping area. Other property features include commercial gardens, orchards and free range chicken coop as well as a homestead with surrounding gardens. There are also plenty of walking tracks on the property.

Weekend Trip to Rhapsody

We had a wonderful 2-night stay at Wallaby Flat and highly recommend it. If you want a spot that is truly secluded, private, and beautiful, this is it. The property is bordered by Kanangra-Boyd National Park, making it feel incredibly peaceful. The river is very nice and was warm enough to soak in - the perfect way to cool down in the afternoon heat. While the river wasn’t as deep as usual during our stay, there were still spots deep enough to swim in. Hiking trails are available nearby, though we spent most of our time relaxing. There is also plenty of shade to help avoid the direct sun. We spotted trout swimming by, and while we didn’t see the reclusive platypus or wombat, we saw many curious wallabies, birds, and rabbits. For future campers: be sure to download offline maps before heading out, as there is no reception nearby. Danny’s directions and maps are excellent, but try to arrive during daylight to make finding the site easier. Danny was an exceptional host - extremely friendly, welcoming, and knowledgeable about the land and local wildlife. We had an outstanding time and are already looking forward to visiting again. Overall: 5 out of 5.

Tom's property was incredible. We loved the peace and privacy it offered, and the landscape was beautiful. The cabin is well equipped with kitchen utensils and a gas stove for those that want to cook indoors. A flushing toilet and shower was very welcome for the young one in our group. There's no reception when you're on the property, but you should be enjoying the tranquil outdoors whilst you're here! The road in is okay for regular cars, but take it slow as there are some ditches you may have the manoeuvre around. A 4WD or higher car would definitely breeze through it. Thanks for hosting us Tom - we'll be back I'm sure!

My family and pup had a lovely stay at Trout Valley farm. The property was gorgeous and covered with tiny white daisies when we visited in Summer. We stayed at the site with a backdrop of a large clifftop. It was incredible to have the whole property to ourselves! We enjoyed swimming and kayaking down the river. The cabin was also super helpful as we were struck by heavy rain on our trip and we were able to bunker down inside and play board games. The cabin had everything we could need - gas stoves, seating for our whole party of 8, Pots and pans, utensils, mugs, kettle, camping lights, and a number of pull out sofa beds (although we did sleep in tents the option was there). The wildlife was amazing! So many roos and birds. Awesome to have a flushing toilet and sink to wash hands and mum and dad got a hot shower in the morning! As the electricity ran on solar we were reliant on camping lights at night. Tom also provided a nice fire pit to sit out and enjoy the fire.

Danny’s place was absolutely incredible — the perfect combination of peaceful nature, fresh mountain air, and genuine hospitality. From the moment we arrived, Danny made us feel welcome and well-looked-after. The land is stunning, quiet, and full of beautiful spots to explore and relax. We came for a short getaway and left completely recharged. The scenery, the clean fresh water, the tranquillity of the bush, and the feeling of privacy made our stay unforgettable. Danny was always helpful, answered all our questions, and guided us with everything we needed. You can truly feel how much care and effort he puts into maintaining such a unique place. Whether you want fishing, nature, walking, or just switching off from the world — this place is perfect. We are already planning to come back. Weekend Trip to Riverside Private Retreat

Had a wonderful trip with a large group of 14 people and two dogs. It's a really beautiful and scenic place to rest and relax and the dogs had so much fun running around the field of wild daisies. The cabin with a flushable toilet and shower really added a level of comfort to the trip, especially on a particularly windy day which meant we ended making use of the kitchen which is very well equipped. In terms of the drive up, it's doable in a smaller car, don't require a 4WD. The roads are gravelled with a number of pot holes and uneven surfaces so best to drive slowly. A big thank you to Tom for his excellent communication and clear instructions, and for helping us with a small issue at the end of the trip. Would definitely love to return here again.

Just returned from a weekend with our old dog at Wombat Flat, great place to unwind. Large level area that is private and quiet. Plenty of shade if it’s hot and about 50m from a wide slow flowing creek (beware submerged branches from recent floods?). Very peaceful, no boats, tiny whisper of traffic noise that gets drowned out by the birds. Wombat one night, friendly horses and cows if you go for a wander thru the paddocks. Thought it was a little pricey but there was a pile of cut wood at camp and the solitude was just what we were looking for. If you’re looking to be entertained you won’t find it at Wombat Flats, strictly BYO fun in whatever form you choose. Sanctuary Point, Huskisson,
