The Peach Farm

17 sites · Lodging, RVs, Tents55 acres · Mororo, NSW
Relax or get involved at The Peachy; an iconic, eco friendly, off-grid animal rescue farm... privately owned and publicly loved! We feed the farm animals and collect the eggs every morning at 8am so set your alarm and join in the fun. Jules, your onsite hostess with the mostest, will take you on a fun-filled journey where everyone learns something! NEW and EXCITING! Every Saturday night we have communal "pizza night" where everyone is welcome, it is BYO food and drinks. It's great fun and a chance to meet and chat with your likeminded camping friends. And it's not just pizza... you can cook anything in there. The dam is back in action after the drought and then an invasive weed taking over. There are kayaks here and they are free for everyone to enjoy. There is a nature playground for the kids, an outdoor bathtub (book with us after you have booked your site $45 or book as a 'camp site'), wood-fired pizza oven (book in the 'extras') and a well equiped community kitchen. The Peach Farm is centrally located within a 20 minute drive to close by attractions. Adventure; 4 wheel drive at Shark Bay. Swim; Iluka's famous beaches. Walk; Iluka Heritage Rainforest, from the lush rainforest to the amazing views at The Bluff. Explore; Yamba, Angourie, the Scottish town of Maclean. Our eccentric affectionate mix of farm animals will win you over in seconds especially if you grab some feed from your hosts. All of our loving animals have been rescued as a tiny baby or taken in when their owners could no longer care for them. Each site has a picnic table and a fire-pit and you can book a camp oven package if you would like to engage in some outdoor cooking. It's fun, relaxing and nothing beats a camp oven stew! Our community kitchen is a hub for get togethers and yarns, well equipped with a gas cooktop, toaster, kettle, cooking utensils, a BBQ, fridge/freezer, and plenty of tables. There are fresh herbs and eggs when in plentiful supply. Please use the worm bin for all your kitchen scraps. We have an amazing composting loo but no showers yet. We are pet friendly however we do ask that you have your best friends on a leash AT ALL TIMES and please do not get too close to the alpacas, they are protectors and will become uneasy and distressed. We strongly believe in 'leaving no trace' so please be mindful of our animals, other happy campers and 'take only memories leave only footprints'. “The peach from can only be accessed heading north on the highway. If coming from the North take the Iluka exit and then just loop back to head north - 1.5km turn off is on the left straight off the Highway!"

Levenvale Farm in Bellingen

9 sites · RVs, Tents500 acres · Valery, NSW
We are farmers, living the dream on 500 acres in beautiful Bellingen. Our farm is called Levenvale Farm. You will feel a million miles away, yet we are only 7mins into the town of Bellingen. We run an organic cattle property and have found a few spots around our farm to share with campers and glampers. Our campsites are "Beyond the Bridge" & "Old Flat Camp". Both are on cattle paddocks and have private access to Hydes Creek. Hydes Creek is a murky sandy base creek. There's lots of logs so its not recommend to jump in, but it's beautiful to cool off in the creek on a hot day. Both campsites have access to our compost toilet, and outdoor camping shower (canvas bag on a rope). Take your own water for a wash off. If you prefer a bit more comfort or don't have your own camping gear, you can escape the hustle and enjoy being perched up on one of the highest points on the farm (with incredible views), in our Bell Tent or Hut. Both the Hut and the Tent are furnished with beds & linen but have no power. Both have access to a Drop Loo and a solar powered outdoor Shower (with 1000L tank and gas hot water). At all our sites, we welcome you to have a small fire, and cook up a BBQ. We sell our organic beef sausages or steaks to campers and happy to have them defrosted for arrival. All of our listings offer spectacular sunrises, sunsets over the mountains and wanderings through lush rainforest. Experience all the adventures of Levenvale Farm and reconnect with nature.

Dog-friendly camping near Minnie Water guide

Overview

For camping getaways filled with fishing, surfing, bushwalking, and whale watching, camp near Minnie Water on the scenic coastline of northern New South Wales. The beach village is one of the oldest fishing towns on the coast. Campers can find holiday parks with powered caravan sites, tent pitches, or cabins near Minnie Water Beach, or go off-the-grid at campsites in the surrounding outback of Yuraygir National Park. Then explore the sunset views from popular lookouts and walking trails. Or head to Solitary Islands Marine Park for snorkelling and diving. Anglers will also love the park, including its many fishing zones along the coast.

Where to go

Minnie Water Beach

Sometimes called Main Beach by the locals, Minnie Water Beach is a 1-kilometre strip of white sand, popular for quiet getaways, fishing, and surfing—especially for beginners. The beach is patrolled during holidays, making it a safe spot for shallow swimming and splashing in the Pacific Ocean. Sign up for surfing lessons near Rocky Point on the north end, or launch a boat from the southern tip for deep-sea fishing. Then pitch a tent or stake a swag at nearby primitive campsites that are right on the water. For a comfortable stay, try a cabin rental or caravan park with electric hookups, toilets, showers, and BBQ facilities just down the road.

Yuraygir National Park

Surrounding the village of Minnie Water on three sides, Yuraygir National Park delivers quiet treks through natural coastal regions teeming with wildlife and ocean views. Angophora Grove walk and Rocky Point walk are popular walking trails. But the best place for watching whales and capturing sunset views on the ocean is from the Tree of Knowledge lookout on the south end of Minnie Water Beach. Campers who want to stay nearby can venture inland for a choice of holiday parks with caravan and tent camping options and several amenities.

Solitary Islands Marine Park

A day trip to Solitary Islands Marine Park, about an hour south of Minnie Water, includes everything from snorkelling and diving to learning about the region’s diverse marine life and the Solitary Islands, after which the park was named. Book a dolphin or whale-watching tour, or throw in a fishing line from one of the recreational fishing zones along the coast. With more than 710 square kilometres to explore, campers can rest easy from a resort-style cabin at one of the holiday parks nearby.

When to go

The milder temperatures of spring and autumn draw the biggest crowds to Minnie Water’s pristine beaches and camping areas. Surfing, diving, and snorkelling are preferable during summer months, while nature lovers like springtime’s bouquet of wildflowers that blanket the terrain. Fall is ideal for stargazing and campfires when the skies are generally clear and evening temperatures are chillier. Be sure to pack binoculars if visiting Minnie Water between June and November—the village has a prime spot for watching humpback whales.
