What an incredible stay! The land itself is beautiful - you feel at peace the moment you drive up 🌿 It's also full of wildlife, loved the kookaburra chatter, and had a cruisey goana mooch his way past the site, said hello on his merry way 🦎 our dogs also had the best time exploring the land.
Victoria herself couldn't have been more friendly and helpful if she tried 💛 and her wee pup Echo is just the best!

One of the most private and peaceful bush camps I’ve stayed at. Victoria is a fantastic host and the instructions were clear and thoughtful, which made everything easy from the start. The sites themselves are well set up and you can tell a lot of care has gone into them.
I was pleasantly surprised by the composting toilet – simple to use and far better than the ones you usually find in national parks. It’s also dog-friendly, and there’s plenty to explore if you bring your hiking boots. A great spot to properly switch off.

Victoria is a welcoming and very friendly host and did everything to make sure we enjoyed our stay. It was exactly what we were looking for in a camp site, remote bush setting, mostly away from others. We could go exploring or just sit back and chill listening to the wind blow through the trees, the birds of many different varieties. We had hoped to see a bit more wildlife but it wasn't our time to see any.
We will be coming back again, kids loved it, dog was in scent heaven. We made so many family memories, highly recommended.

If you want to feel like you have your own little piece of the Earth for a while, it's definitely worth a stay. It was everything that we wanted in a camping spot. We wanted seclusion, peace, scenery and somewhere with that "special something", that's exactly what we got. We have tried a number of places that were nice, but always had their cons with their pros. I wouldnt change anything about Monastery of 11 strings. Our host, Victoria, was pleasant and polite, you can tell how much she cares for the land and loves to share her slice of heaven with fellow campers. We will definitely be returning, the only question now is - do you go back to Wirritjin workshop, that we loved so much? Or try a different site!

Beautiful and quiet spot! Had the entire campsite to ourselves. 10 mins away from local beach and Swan Lake. Friendly horses, kangaroos and farm animals! Would definitely come back! Lisa was also very friendly and helpful during our stay!

We had an incredible stay at Rainbow Tree campsite! 🌈 The spot itself is absolutely magical — surrounded by bushland, full of birds, and with plenty of firewood right around camp. There’s a great sturdy table for prepping meals, and we even managed to get one bar of reception to stream a bit of music under the stars 🎶
Victoria was amazing — so warm and helpful, and wonderful with the kids. She even brought us extra firewood and water during our stay, which made everything so easy and relaxed.
Our kids loved exploring the area, and the nearby Wombeyan Caves (about a 30-minute drive) were a huge hit — the caves and the creek are perfect for kids to splash in, especially on a hot day. 🪨💦
Couldn’t recommend this place enough for families looking for a peaceful nature escape. We’ll definitely be back! 🌿🔥

Great place for a camp. Plenty of space, great for hiking, mountain bikes, etc.
Great host, Victoria greeted us at the gate (lucky timing) and got to meet her dog Echo.
Highly recommend place to visit.

We loved our stay at Horses for healing at Sussex Inlet and would highly recommend this spot for anyone who is looking to stay at quiet and secluded spot.
The property was easy to find and host met us at arrival.
Campground is located near the paddock with alpacas and a donkey (host told that we could pet them, but they were shy and kept their distance, so we decided not to disturb them). We saw many kangaroos during our stay as well.
Overall nice spot and would try to come again during warmer months.

We loved our stay at the beautiful Wirritjin Workshop, winter chill and all, and we will definitely be back to try it out in the longer days.
While we were there almost by ourselves, the sites are all so well spaced apart for privacy and peace and quiet, that I would be happy to stay there when all is full. The only car I recall even vaguely hearing during our two night stay was host Victoria coming past to say hi. No sounds even from the Meares Forest road although our campsite was near property front.
The walk to the creek is well worth it, maybe an hour and a half return of pure walking, but factor in a chat with Vic at the bus, an explore of the creek, and depending on your tastes either a swim or spending some time on a picnic rug with a book and snacks, and it's more of a half day outing.
On access, there is approx 10km of reasonably good quality unsealed road, then a couple hundred metres of the unsealed driveway at Monastery. We used a modest hatchback with only 2WD, and it did fine at this; although I think the front 2 campsites are best for fellow campers using only 2WD.
Overall, it's not luxury camping, we weren't there for that. The things you get - the peace and quiet, the nature, the fresh air and warm welcome (and amazing stories of life there) from Victoria make this somewhere we'll definitely be keen to return to - there's plenty more to explore!
