Our property is located in the Blue Mountains, nestled right in the middle of the national park and all that the Blue Mountains bush has to offer. Gums, ferns, fresh air and swimming holes. I only allow one group to camp at any one time per site. Other groups will be well away from you. However the dam is available for everyone to use. I adjust each booking with each group depending on size of the group and time of year. I also hold large events so will book out the entire site for large groups. Just a short drive from Sydney but a world away with its ancient forests and meandering pathways. All photos are from the site or within a 2km walk of the camping site in National Park or reserve. I welcome self-contained campers with your own camping toilet/shower, and drinking water. However there are facilities on site for smaller groups at an extra cost. The property offers a number of sites that can accommodate various group numbers. Please message me if you're interested in booking one or more listings for your special get together. Dogs are welcome as long as they are friendly, but no cats please. Also please be aware that we are surrounded by nature and part of nature are snakes and ticks. - we need to keep this environment for the wildlife. We looked for alternative ways of living 6 years ago so we purchased 220 acres to build an off grid camping/eco resort. The property consists of a straw bale house, Tipis, Cottages, 5 stars shared facilities (hot showers, flushing toilets - disable toilet ), outdoor kitchen (gas bbq, pizza oven, all kitchen utensils, pots ), solar system and worm farm septic system. The facilities of the camping are quite luxurious some guests labelling them "better than at home" so you can enjoy the bush experience & still have the comfort of a home. Here you can discover amazing wildlife such as kangaroos, wallabies, wombats, cockatoos, lyre birds and a lot of other birds (designated bird drinking stations through a WIRES program which has a lot of success.) Bring a camera and take in the incredible sights such as wildlife, cliffs, caves, and a magical view of Mount Yengo and Moruben from the top of the property. They are designated walking tracks around the property with all variable lengths & difficulties. We are Based in a Quiet Area in Howes Valley NSW TJ's has over 1000 acres of mixed beautifully grassed areas, surrounding Aussie bush, and a sand based seasonal river (the river is not always flowing fully). Where you can relax and enjoy the peace and tranquility of the Australia Bush, taking in the stunning views, listening to the wildlife, star gazing, go bush walking, splash in our crystal clear seasonal river or bring out your adventure side and go 4wding. Pets are definitely welcome, but please be sensible and do not bring them if they are aggressive. Please pick up after him/her (there is nothing worse than stepping in a dog dropping). Horses also welcome - we have a fenced cattle yard. Hot Showers are available. There are toilets placed around the property. We have communal sites plus separated private sites for those that would like some privacy. (If you would like a private site, please message us once you have booked). Have a Fenced off Kids Playground. Buggys (allowed any weekend at an extra fee). Quads and dirt bikes also allowed PLEASE NOTE; They are an extra fee and only allowed on specific weekends. As we like to keep our property quiet for everyone to relax from the hassle and bustle of everyday life. Please see our website or Facebook page for dates. Buggy Tours and kids quad rides are available (extra costs). We would like to advise that entry to our beautiful property is a dirt road and does have mounds. The road has just been upgraded and although has dirt mounds is quite easy. We suggest to drive over them on an angle and take your time. We have lots of people come in with trailers and campers and have not had a problem. But do not recommend it if you have a lowered car. Any concerns, please contact us.

Built on the site of the old Hartley Vale oil shale works that closed in 1916, 'The Refinery" was re-established in 2018 as an organic garlic farm now owned by James and Michelle and their two children. The farm features a hempcrete building named 'The Stinking Rose' used for drying and curing garlic that also acts as a big room for garlic feasts during planting (March, April and May each year). The building also houses toilet and shower facilities for guests when camping on site. On some evenings, the sky puts on a real show of golden sun rays with pink, purple and blue clouds while swallows flit across the garden beds catching moths. Our guests like to sit around their campfires watching the spectacular show while kids and dogs run around without the burden of leashes or noise of city traffic.

Hillside Camp on Bow River

The ultimate Farm Solitude Camping experience. If you want to get away from it all and relax in a secluded Campsite surrounded by beautiful Native Bushland or explore miles of trails, gullies, caves, Flight Springs Creek and the exquisite Bow River, take some time to camp at Hillside, which is a remote 2000 acre working cattle property situated 23km west of MERRIWA, 14 km off the Golden Highway, adjoining the Goulburn River National Park. All sites are in secluded area's far away from each other but at busy times people may pass by some sites to access the river. There are plenty of walking trails and for the enthusiastic bushwalker, the Bow River winds its way 7km down to the Goulburn River through the National Park with its gentle flowing stream and rock pools nestled between sandstone cliffs of caves with open area's. There is an abundance of wildlife to see. All sites are pet friendly, but pets must be kept on leash and cleaned up after. Horses will need temporary fencing. Campfires are allowed when there are no restrictions. Cut firewood is available on request. $20 lots, cash only. 4WD and High vehicles are recommended as tracks have rocky outcrops and some areas of loose sand. The Bow River area is strictly 4WD access as it is very steep with loose gravel. Some sites can be accessed by 2WD. Outback 4WD tracks are now open for campers to explore as well as Hidden Valley, which has walking trail access to the Bow River. "Gully View Campsite" is the closest site to the property entrance. Great for overnight stays. It can be set up as a communal campground for large groups. Guests are required to be fully self-contained with their own toilet/shower facilities and must take all waste and rubbish with them on departure. *Some Campsites now have toilets. Phone Service is very limited in this area. If you email a request, it may take a few hours for us to reply. We also do Vinyl, Canvas and Leather repairs during your stay in most cases. WARNING: There are many areas of cliff edges and shear drops! Children must be supervised at all times while exploring these areas. There are also dams at or near some of the campsite areas that could be dangerous if children wander off exploring alone.
