Weekend Trip to Pheasant Ground

We stayed on what turned out to be a wet weekend but we still had a great time. Lovely spot, enjoyed saying Hi to the cows at the end of the driveway in the morning, also saw wallabies, kookaburras, frogs and lots of different birds. The site does have a toilet however it is a fair walk down the road to get to it, it can also be hard to find. We took a camp toilet and it was so much easier. We had ample room for two cars, swags a gazebo and room for the kids to play ball. Decent sized fire pit for 6 of us too. The drive through Jamberoo to get there was beautiful too. Would definitely stay again.

We loved camping at Riverbend camp at Wombat Hollow. By far our favourite Hipcamp we have stayed at! Vallance was excellent his directions and communication. We feel very lucky to have stayed at such a special place. Thanks Vallance.

Beautiful cabin in a lovely secluded spot! Ash and his partner were very attentive hosts and great with communication. So nice to wake up to the sound of birds in the morning and sit out on the veranda. Thank you for a great stay!

Weekend Trip to Babbling Brook 4WD Camping

We loved camping at Michele and Bill’s farm. The sites are all very private and spaced far apart. Michele and Bill are lovely people and great hosts. The firewood we purchased was delivered to our site and was a very generous amount. We recommend the farms honey, it’s delicious. The kids really enjoying swimming and seeing all the wombats and kangaroos. We had phone reception and it’s only a short drive for any additional supplies needed. We highly recommend a stay, you won’t be disappointed.

Weekend Trip to Buxton Getaway

It was good! Not super private, your neighbours are pretty close and we weren't that keen to swim in the dams but it was close to Bargo potholes which were great for a swim and nice just to get away. Would go again. I really appreciated the big water bottles!

We had a great time camping on Cliff’s property! The location was peaceful and the property and toilets were well kept for a comfortable stay. Cliff was a fantastic host, going out of his way collecting the dead branches we had gathered from the side of the road and cutting them up for us saving us hours of us axing away. We really appreciated his generosity and would highly recommend staying here!

Thank you Christine for proving such an amazing campsite. The campground is well maintained and clear considering there are farm animals living there. On top of that there is a short walk to the creek and the water is quite clear and you can see some fish in there too. If I have to give this place a rating I would give it a 10/10. Fire - yes Open sky - yes Dog friendly- yes Lots of birds - yes Creek near campground - yes Clean toilet facility- yes Would certainly recommend this place a visit :)

Weekend Trip to Dharawal Camp

Had a great weekend at Dharawal. Saw some Kookaburras and Possum's right near camp. The cabin was a nice luxury with power and a great drop toilet so close to camp. Would definitely recommend. There was some noise coming from nearby roads but it was few and far between.

We had a lovely time staying at this campsite. It was full of nature including Kangaroos and wallabies hopping right beside out tent! We were the only ones at the site so it was lovely and peaceful! The way in and out is very steep but Barry was very helpful and we managed it in our 2wd car (in good and dry weather)! It is more of a wild experience but it is more than enjoyable and just a short 15 minutes drive from the beach as well so it was a perfect location! We would recommend the spot to anyone who wants a peaceful and slightly wild camping experience! Thanks Barry!

Buxton Getaway

Located just one hour from Sydney, our property features 19 acres of pure serenity with two dams and one large enough to kayak on (kayaks supplied). The back of the property is perfect for camping and suitable for a small to medium caravan/camper. The larger dam has a picnic area and kayaks available to paddle on. Adjoining our property is Nattai National Park with a lovely 20 minute walk down to Little River. The Aqua Pool Trail in the National Park is just gorgeous. If you wish to try and catch some yabbies from the dams the only allowable and fun way is by a long stick and sausage. Hooks, fishing lines and traps are not allowed as we have people, dogs and horses swimming in the dams. We welcome self-contained campers who bring their shower/toilet set up. We do have two drop pit toilets available and each campsite has a pit fire provided. We are getting low on firewood so you will need to bring some along with you. There is access to drinking water. Our property is 2WD accessible and can accommodate small caravans and camper trailers. Not far from Buxton is Thirlmere where the Steam Train Museum is and train rides are available on the weekends, a great activity for the kids. Thirlmere Lakes National Park is perfect for a relaxing picnic, walk, birdwatching, and glimpse into locomotive history. Mittagong and Bowral have great wineries with restaurant/bistro. Pets are welcome. There's a range of different bushwalking trails in the region, including Starlights trail, a scenic bushwalk suited to experienced hikers, which forms part the Greater Blue Mountains trail network between Mittagong and Katoomba.

Otford Park nr Royal National Park

Otford is a historic village in a valley between Sydney and Wollongong, and bounded by the Pacific ocean. Our private acreage backs onto the southern tip of the Royal National Park, so the outlook from the campsite is all leafy trees. Walk to lookouts over the ocean, hike down to the beach or a few minutes drive to dog friendly beaches. Our bathroom and kitchen facilities make it an easy experience for first time campers. We are well-behaved-dog-friendly BUT you must let us know in advance. Our access track to the camping sites has been repaired with a deep layer of asphalt but still best suited to 4WD. The majority of standard 2WD cars manage the track fine There is also the option of parking roadside, and walking in approx 300m to the sites. Please message us if unsure about your vehicle. IMPORTANT PLEASE READ 1. Please let us know if you are bringing a dog/dogs - we have horses, house dogs, chickens and; wildlife plus likely other campers close by, so need to be forewarned. Dogs must be on lead or contained at all times. 2. If you need to camp out of your 4WD RV (such as a roof top tent), please contact me before booking to ensure those two particular vehicle sites are still available :) and that your vehicle is suitable for our track. Wombat Hollow

100 acres of secluded paradise with a kilometer of free flowing pebbled creek. Bound on two sides by the craggy escarpments of the Budgong and Morton National Parks there is ample grassland to give a feeling of space yet an abundance of trees to wander through as you engage with the tame wildlife and magnificent birdlife. Bring your mountain bike, fishing rod, swimmers, hiking boots, tennis racket, basketball (a hoop on the tennis court) or climbing gear and leave the kids in the play area while you sit by the creek and listen to the water tumbling through the rocks. If you are as intrigued by rare animals as we are, then this is the place for you. 63 Bird species, 24 mammals, 16 reptiles, and 12 amphibians have been sighted in the area (Clarke 2012) and this includes many rare and endangered species including the platypus, brush-tailed rock wallaby, Giant burrowing frog, Gang-gang cockatoo, Glossy black-cockatoo, Koala, Little Lorikeet and the Yellow-bellied glider. We only have three campsites at present, so you will be guaranteed peace, space and privacy. with a minimum of 400m between all sites. Please note, that your group must be self-contained, with their own camp toilet, however fresh drinking water is available. Access is into a valley on a well maintained unsealed road but there are some minor causeways making it unsuitable for busses. An ordinary sedan will do for Billabong and Dad's camp sites but you will need some power for towing and a 4x4 to tow out in any rain. Riverbend site is only suitable for 4x4's and off-road camp trailers. Pheasant Ground

Situated just off Jamberoo Mountain Road, we are ideally located between Bowral and Kiama. This campsite is a flat grassy area with rural views to the west and north west. Enjoy the lush green grass under the shade of old gnarly trees. Dogs on leashes are very welcome. Campers will have access to toilet during their stay, just a short walk from the camping area. Various birds, wombats and wallabies are common around our farm and we're located very close to Carrington Falls (Budderoo National Park), the Illawarra Fly Tree Top Walk and Barren Grounds Nature Reserve where you can go for a lovely bushwalk or have a swim. This campsite is best suited to caravans or RVs as we are situated near a semi-busy tourist road between Robertson and Jamberoo (perfect if you need a safe place to stay on your adventure). There are also a lot of wombats so stay on the track and look for burrows. There are many activities to enjoy including kayaking, fishing, swimming, bush walking, bird watching and 15kms of mountain bike trails. We are pet friendly, please remember to have your pets protected against ticks. You will need to be self-contained with own camping toilet, shower and water. Please DO NOT dig toilet hole, even though you leave it covered, it doesn't take long for the foxes to dig it up and leave a real mess!! Campfires permitted in designated areas. There is mobile reception. No shooting, archery or hunting. No trail bikes. Do not damage trees, there is plenty of firewood on the ground. Don't forget your mozzie repellent. Please note we have a moderate cancellation policy thru Hipcamp.

Falls Forest

At Falls Forest, you'll find 400 acres of private native forest with an abundance of wildlife, welcoming self-contained campers to immerse themselves in nature. You'll be camped just 15 minutes drive from Huskisson, Hyamms Beach, and St George's Basin - a great location if you want laid-back bush camping, but also crave a restaurant meal and a swim in the beautiful waters of Jervis Bay. It is isolated from the overcrowded tourist parks and offers great secluded camping. At the right time, you will literally not see another human for days if that is your wish! At the current moment, a 4WD is essential to access the property. All campers must be self-contained, with their own camp toilet, and take all waste when they go. So if you are tired of that 6 metre x 6 metre tent site and don't want to hear the guy next door coughing and snoring, or if you just want to only hear the sound of the breeze through the trees, come and stay a few days or a week or longer if you wish. Seclusion this accessible from Sydney is a rare commodity. Pets are welcome, but please keep them under control as we value the wildlife. Sorry, no cats for that particular reason.

Country Camping on the Coast

There is a tranquil creek on the eastern side of the camp and horses and hand reared cattle graze on the western paddock. Beaches on the coast and beautiful Jervis Bay are 20 Minutes away. The Jervis Bay region has much to offer so if you're up for adventure, bring your kayaks and snorkelling gear. Our beaches have the whitest sand in the world. Why not check out the dolphin and whale cruises and get up and personal with the marine life.The property is 3 km off the Princes Hwy.
