Retreat is a historic sheep station and regenerative farm on Pinchgut Creek, in Wiradjuri Country, on the southwest slopes of NSW. Strategic grazing methods are fostering biodiversity (above and below ground). Creekside revegetation has brought the waterway back to life. Birdlife abounds. Take a walk along the creek, through the regenerating woodland. Pitch your tent under shady white cedar trees, beside the Retreat Shearer's Quarters. After sunset, listen for the mopoke owls, which sometimes call from the branches of ancient yellow box trees. Nights are dark here. Marvel at a sky full of stars. Occasionally, a rare Australasian bittern, nesting in the reed beds on Pinchgut Creek, will add its booming call to the night time frog chorus. Butcher birds often sing at sunrise. The towns of Cootamundra, Temora and Junee are less than half an hour away. Guests have access to two hot showers, a laundry, toilet, and drinking water (rainwater). There is access to electricity, but no rubbish facilities. We ask that you remove all of your own rubbish, as we don't have a council rubbish pickup service. Stay cozy in the evenings around the campfire. Campfires can be made in the cooler months, by permission, and only in the designated fire circle. Tents may only be set up under the old, shady white cedar trees on the western side of the long, corrugated iron dormitory building, with a view towards the creek. The campsite is 2WD accessible and there's plenty of room for motorhomes, campervans and camper trailers. The campsite is grassy and level, but the area can get boggy in wet weather. The Violet Farm

Enjoy the serene landscape with uninterrupted views of nearby hills, whilst relaxing under the shade of an Elm tree. The house on the property is 120 years old and was once a school that has now been converted. The property also has some of the most amazing sunsets on offer. We are only a few minutes by car from the beautiful township of Tumut where you can access the Tumut River and Blowering Dam for all your water activities. There is also a great brewery for food and drinks, a nearby by mountain bike park and we are not too far from Adelong Falls. Wombats roam at night along with kangaroo, wallaby and deer migrating when in season. Powerful Owls, Gang Gang and many species from the parrot family are a spectacular sight along with morning and Twighlight Finch performances. Endor is a primitive camp site with cabin style accommodation. There are two bunkers which are set 25m apart and each bunker can accommodate 2 people Max. Basic single bed set up with basic linen however it is required that you bring your own temperature rated sleeping bag for seasonal Camps in winter and shoulder periods. The weather can change very quickly, and temperatures can drop to below zero with snow in Winter. Campfires are allowed during the winter season and each bunker has a fire pit. Our aim is to provide a comfortable bed in an alpine off grid setting for those who seek an experience in nature. Located on Batlow Road you will experience some road traffic noise and log truck activity during peak hours in the morning and afternoon. A small reminder that you are still close to civilization.

Located on the stunning Tumut River, where cool groves of black wattle line the riverbank, offering shade, privacy, and comfort. Here you have clear Snowy River water at your doorstep. It's so fresh we drink it! Each camping site is by the river, prime position for fishing, canoeing, and swimming. Based on availability, you are welcome to choose your spot on arrival. All options are grassed and level. You will have access to a pit toilet, otherwise, please BYO facilities. Small campfires are welcome in the fire pits provided, or BYO firepit (permitting there are no restrictions in place at the time). Firewood can be purchased at the time of booking. We're pet-friendly, so you're welcome to bring your four-legged friends along! Please note, however, that we are a working farm and as such farm activities are going on, and we have resident animals, so please keep your pets under control at all times. We are located a short drive from Tumut in the Snowy Mountains region. Pitch your tent or RV overlooking the gorgeous mountains. We are half a kilometre from the main road behind locked gates, and just 10 minutes from town for all your supply needs. There are plenty of scenic walks and fishing spots nearby, at camp you can enjoy complete privacy. There is a shower and toilet available which is separate from the main residence. There is also bar fridge, large chest freezer, jug, toaster, and microwave available, We are on tank water and can offer drinking water. We ask that you are conservative with your water use, and we encourage you to bring your own. Enjoy waking up to the tranquil sounds of wildlife of all sorts, (not having to hear any traffic being 500meters off the main road). plus the views of the kangaroos in the mornings is pleasant too! The campsite is accessible by 2WD and we can accommodate all types of camping vehicles. You will need to level your vehicle depending on which site you choose. Your pet is welcome to join you.

Tumut Valley Holiday Park is a quiet, leafy, relaxed family park overlooking lush farmland and the Tumut River. Tumut is situated at the northern end of the Snowy Mountains, and is particularly attractive during the autumn when the thousands of poplars and deciduous trees erupt into rich colours. The park is pet friendly and all our sites have power access and include use of our amenities. As this is a family friendly park we ask all campers to be respectful of their neighbours and noise to be kept to a minimum after 10pm. First Aid Officers and AED onsite 24/7

Retreat Shearers' Quarters

PLEASE NOTE: Retreat is a working farm. For biosecurity reasons, we cannot host visitors who have returned from overseas within the last 10 days. Retreat is a historic sheep station and regenerative farm on Pinchgut Creek, in Wiradjuri Country, on the southwest slopes of NSW. Strategic grazing methods are fostering biodiversity (above and below ground). Creekside revegetation has brought the waterway back to life. Birdlife abounds. Take a walk along the creek, through the regenerating woodland. Pitch your tent under shady white cedar trees, beside the Retreat Shearer's Quarters. After sunset, listen for the mopoke owls, which sometimes call from the branches of ancient yellow box trees. Nights are dark here. Marvel at a sky full of stars. Occasionally, a rare Australasian bittern, nesting in the reed beds on Pinchgut Creek, will add its booming call to the night time frog chorus. Butcher birds often sing at sunrise. The towns of Cootamundra, Temora and Junee are less than half an hour away. Guests have access to two hot showers, a laundry, toilet, and drinking water (rainwater). There is access to electricity, but no rubbish facilities. We ask that you remove all of your own rubbish, as we don't have a council rubbish pickup service. Stay cozy in the evenings around the campfire. Campfires can be made in the cooler months, by permission, and only in the designated fire circle. Tents may only be set up under the old, shady white cedar trees on the western side of the long, corrugated iron dormitory building, with a view towards the creek. The campsite is 2WD accessible and there's plenty of room for motorhomes, campervans and camper trailers. The campsite is grassy and level, but the area can get boggy in wet weather. Please check in with us about the current conditions. No pets please.
