Located on the stunning Tumut River, where cool groves of black wattle line the riverbank, offering shade, privacy, and comfort. Here you have clear Snowy River water at your doorstep. It's so fresh we drink it! Each camping site is by the river, prime position for fishing, canoeing, and swimming. Based on availability, you are welcome to choose your spot on arrival. All options are grassed and level. You will have access to a pit toilet, otherwise, please BYO facilities. Small campfires are welcome in the fire pits provided, or BYO firepit (permitting there are no restrictions in place at the time). Firewood can be purchased at the time of booking. We're pet-friendly, so you're welcome to bring your four-legged friends along! Please note, however, that we are a working farm and as such farm activities are going on, and we have resident animals, so please keep your pets under control at all times. Also, please ensure kids are supervised at all times, particularly around the river. Lifejackets are recommended. During your time here, visit the local farm gates in Tumut, Batlow, Tumbarumba, and Adelong for their delicious high-country produce. There are also some beautiful swimming spots and walks to discover in the region, as well as good facilities in town, including the local swimming pool and shopping centre. Enjoy a local brew and bite to eat at the Tumut brewery. Bahwidgee is just 3km from the Tumut town centre - so close you could ride in, or even walk.

Stayed 1 night on 21st August. Absolutely beautiful spot! The river is gorgeous with so much bird life around & the calves were so curious. Wayne was so accommodating & friendly; you can see all the work he puts in. Thank you for sharing your gorgeous property with us!

beware of rain
This is a nice location along the waters edge. Lots of curious cows who even flossed their teeth on my anchor points of my tent. The only dampener though was indeed, the rain. Bad timing I know, but the ground became incredibly muddy and with cow piles all over, it was a messy experience. Also, I think there was a pit toilet advertised, a sign to where it was actually located could have helped also.

Best spot on the river
What a stunning place absolutely gorgeous wish we had the time would have stayed for a week nice and flat close to town telstra phone reception we had the place to ourselves was so relaxing loved all the wildlife possums cattle horses very memorable highly recommended

Beautiful escape. Right on the river, great fishing. I loved watching the cows and hearing all the sounds of nature. Very relaxing spot and would definitely be going back.

What a beautiful spot along the river we had. Loved waking up to the cows and fog lifting over. Very close to town but felt far away. Toliet was harder to get to due to mud, but not the end of the world. Wayne was very easy to communicate with, was able to find our way into the spot due to great signs.
