Riverview Kiah is offering one campsite nestled on a very quiet part of the Kiah/Towamba river. To minimize impact on neighbors and make your stay more enjoyable, there is only one campsite offered on the whole property, so apart from the owners you will have it all to yourselves. You will need to be a self-contained camper who brings their own camping toilet/shower. We offer access to water via a 1000l pod that is close to the campsite. This water is drinkable and may be used to fill jerry cans/ wash etc. We just ask you to please be frugal with usage. The campsite is situated on a grassy knoll a mere 30m away from your own private beach, which is ideal for fishing kayaking and swimming. The Kiah / Towamba river is well renowned for its excellent fishing. Live bait or soft plastics are best. Live bait can be sourced at nearby Nullica beach or alternatively, frozen prawn's, pipis or salted pilchards also yield success. Some of the species that call the river home are, Flathead, Bream, Luderick, Whiting, Estuary Pearch, Jewfish, Mullet and Flounder. If you bring your kayaks, canoe or roof top tinny the river is very picturesque with unique photo opportunities and an abundance of wildlife. You can head upstream for a way but if you're feeling up to it, it's about a 2.5-hour paddle (at a slow steady pace) to the mouth of the river where Davidsons whaling station is located, as well as the view across the bay to Eden. If you time it right, you can go and return with the tide. Two kayaks and life jackets are provided with all bookings so that people without their own equipment are able to explore the pristine waterway. There is a large firepit near the river that may be utilized as long as there is no total fire ban in effect. If you have your own firepit that can also be used but there are to be no fires on beach or bare earth. Firewood can be provided at an extra cost, (please select in extras, 1 bundle will last 2 nights on average). Directions will be provided 48 hours before arrival; you are welcome to head straight to camp although if around I will meet and greet you upon arrival. 1000 acres of bushland, private campsite only 3km from the Snowy Mountains Highway. Good mobile coverage. Lots of wildlife. Campfires permitted. Potable water available. No toilet or amenities. 4WD is best but not absolutely necessary, a small low clearance car won't be suitable. Pets allowed but be aware it is a running cattle farm and it's expected that you know your pets whereabouts at all times. At 1200 metres elevation it is often colder than the surrounding areas and sometimes very foggy. A second site is available near our house at the "hayshed". Let's say you're travelling between Bega and Cooma or Bombala, it's getting late and you need a spot to spend the night which is safe and you can plug into power. Next morning buy some fresh eggs, have breakfast, check your vehicle over, top up a bit of water and back to the main highway in a few minutes.

Best, friendliest hosts you could ever hope to meet. Outstanding people. I overpayed them $10 and although I told them to keep it when they offered a refund, they gave me a bunch of fresh eggs anyway. They couldn't do enough to help out. Awesome spot about 1050 metres above sea level. Great phone reception (Telstra). Water refill, electric hook up available. Give them a go as they are relatively new to this and deserve your support.

The site was well maintained and ready. Composting toilet is well lit and very clean. The gate and path to river let us feel extra secluded and really take advantage of the solitude. We loved being able to sit by the fire and watch the kids having fun paddling on the river 😀 This was a great spot that we hope to return to in future.

Beautiful, flat green field perfect for tents, or any kind of camping, clean toilet, good fire place with something you can cook on and a picnic table. She had some firewood already for me to use. Short walk down to pristine , private , river with afew chairs. I can confirm there are definitely platerpus in the river. She acceptes pets , I had my dog and bird with me. There alot of wallies, roos, rabbits ect. So it your dog likes to chase, keep them on a leash. There is little phone coverage, my navman took me to the place down the road but the place is well signed. Trying and fuel up well before you hit the gravel road. But overall a beautiful place to camp 5 stars.

Trent has a beautiful spot, he has put a lot of effort in to the camp site. Was able to purchase chicken eggs and Trent greeted us after we settled in for a bit. Caught plenty of fish , walked along the sand dunes when tide was low also gave the kayaks a go. Eden town around the corner which came in super handy. Definitely coming back.

Super happy Michael and his family were super welcoming and accommodating. We were met with a carton of eggs and escorted to our campsite to which was clean and comfortable. Michael provided us with a map which allowed us to freely explore on our motorcycles. Would definitely recommend staying here and will absolutely be back.

Great camp spot, easy access to the river (two chairs provided next to the river for nice riverside bevvo), very clean toilet and heaps of firewood provided. A road runs past the paddock but we've only seen 2 or 3 cars passing all day, so it's very quiet. Only 45m to Eden so good for a day trip. Would recommend to all.

We had a lovely time staying at this campsite, the location is stunning, especially with the river so close by with beautifully clear water. It's a really beautiful setting for a peaceful getaway, and the composting toilet here is honestly the best we've ever encountered, better than my own, super clean and thoughtfully maintained. One thing to note, which wasn’t clear from the listing or reviews, is that the site is in a fully fenced paddock right beside a dirt road. While it’s not heavily trafficked, there were occasional cars and some people who slowed down or looked in, which made it feel slightly less private than expected. The host's house is also within sight of the campsite, which might matter to those looking for full seclusion. It would have been nice if the hosts had made this a bit clearer in the listing. That said, it’s still a very special spot – just something to keep in mind depending on what kind of experience you’re after. We'd absolutely recommend it for anyone wanting natural beauty with basic comforts, just know it’s not completely tucked away from view. It would be suitable for a large group, or family wanting open space where they can keep an eye view on the little ones.

Naomi and Graham were very friendly and helpful hosts. Feather Glenn connects you to nature. It is beautiful!!! The river is pristine, surrounded by mountains, flora and fauna. The composting toilet is a treat as is the complimentary fire pit and wood! This is a dog friendly camp site! We loved our stay here and can’t wait to come back!! Thank you Naomi and Graham.

What a hidden gem. The well kept farm right beside the river was a sight to behold. Beautiful wildlife, magnificent river and well kept amenities showing pride the owner has of this place. Kids loved access to the river using the supplied canoes and life jackets and we all loved the grand fire place during the night. For sure we will be back again as we only got the explore Eden and the river to a small degree. As much as I'd love to keep this place a secret, it would be doing the owner a disservice. Feather Glenn is an absolutely beautiful spot that we plan to frequent. Despite the unfortunate weather during our stay, we were so taken with this picturesque site. Niomi and Graham are very welcoming and thoughtful hosts. The site is spacious, enclosed, has a generous amount of firewood, clean ammeneties, easy access to the river, and a very useful firepit and table. We very much look forward to future stays.
