Recycling bins are provided, otherwise campers are required to take their rubbish with them. Wi-Fi and Telstra coverage are available. Rainforest Gateway is located approximately 8klms along Grady's Creek Road, just 20 klms north of Kyogle and 15 klms from the Queensland border on the popular scenic tourist route, Lions Road. Kyogle is a bustling town with an IGA supermarket, MTB riding tracks, lovely gift shops, cinema, bowling alley, and a selection of dining outlets. For those wanting to immerse themselves in nature, the Border Ranges National Park is a short drive away. Please note Lions Road is temporarily closed for road repairs and expected to be reopened late January 2026. We are a 40 minute drive from Mebbin National Park, 25 minutes to the town of Nimbin and just over an hour from Byron Bay and plenty of beaches. Enjoy relaxing relaxing around the campfire in our spacious campsites or enjoy a splash or paddle in the small creek. There is drinking water, a hot shower and a compost toilet available for campers. There are a range of campsites available from the edge of the forest down to creek front sites (4WD only) and in the Pecan orchard. Please check by prior email during the wet season for specific access requirements. Campfires are permitted in the fire pit provided, pending there are no fire restrictions. We can supply seasoned firewood at competitive rates. Friendly pets are welcome, we also have dogs on the property.

Right next door, a large, covered deck with its own fireplace offers an inviting communal space for relaxation. For your convenience, we provide clean flushing toilets and hot showers. And for the ultimate relaxation, our rejuvenating wood-fired cedar sauna is available upon request for an additional fee. Just a heads-up, you'll need to supply your own firewood for it. Amorata Eco Farm is a working sustainable farm with basic camping facilities located in Barkers Vale. We are within easy reach of a number of walking tracks. We are a 40 minute drive from Mebbin National Park, 25 minutes to the town of Nimbin and just over an hour from Byron Bay and plenty of beaches. Enjoy relaxing relaxing around the campfire in our spacious campsites or enjoy a splash or paddle in the small creek. There is drinking water, a hot shower and a compost toilet available for campers. There are a range of campsites available from the edge of the forest down to creek front sites (4WD only) and in the Pecan orchard. Please check by prior email during the wet season for specific access requirements. Campfires are permitted in the fire pit provided, pending there are no fire restrictions. We can supply seasoned firewood at competitive rates. Friendly pets are welcome, we also have dogs on the property.

We have now been to Traveller's Rest twice, and loved it both times. The area is flat and grassy and backs on to a creek. There is alot of birdlife to watch with neighbouring farms of cows and a horse to observe. Leanne keeps the camp ground mowed, the shower is spotless and the 2 porta-loos are always clean. It is effortless camping not far from the GC.

Great place to relax and cool off in the creek. Close to Murwillumbah if you forget anything and a great little cafe down the road for breakfast and lunch. The amenities were a bonus and the sites arebeautifully separated. We will be returning.

Beautiful grassy open campsite with fire pits and lovely views surround by tall eucalypts and kookaburras. There’s a great communal area with clean showers, flushing toilets, and kitchen facilities. Nice flowing creek at the bottom of the property, it’s quite a steep walk or you can drive down and park at the bottom. Loved it! Great peaceful place to escape the hustle and bustle. Will definitely be back :)

The Hidden Gem site truly lives up to its name. From the very start, the windy road in is all part of the magic, with a beautiful drive through a lush, subtropical paradise. Once dusk hits and the frogs quieten down, you can hear the distant waterfall doing its thing - bliss. Vili was incredibly helpful and genuinely made everything easy nothing was ever a problem. The showers and toilets were spotless and clearly well cared for, which always scores big points. So many perfect spots to sit back, relax, and soak in the views, it’s impossible not to unwind here. Thank you Greg! We really enjoyed our stay. Greg gave us all the freedom in the world to choose our spot, and even mowed the grass for us. The portaloo nearby was always clean, and we were able to pick up lots of firewood for our campfire. Greg also supplied a bucket full for $20. Even though it was the week after Christmas, it felt like we had the place all to ourselves. Our sites were accessible by regular cars, but there are more remote spots available for 4x4s.
