We have loved the farm so much we decided others should get to experience it too and let them get out and take in the peace and serenity of being in nature. We offer 8 spacious campsites as well as a self sufficient cabin overlooking stunning sunset views to the west of our property. We also have a communal flushable toilet for our campers for those who don't have their own camp toilets. Escape the busy city life and come light a campfire and watch the sunrise and sunset, enjoy the amazing views, wildlife and keep an eye out for koalas in the trees. Bathurst is known for motorsports thanks to Mount Panorama, one of the world’s most famous circuits. It hosts a number of international racing events, including the Bathurst 12 Hour and the Bathurst 1000. When it's not being used for a race, the public can take a spin around the course and visit wineries along the track. Visit the National Motor Racing Museum, right next to the track. The Australian Fossil and Mineral Museum boasts a Tyrannosaurus Rex skeleton and the Bathurst Regional Art Gallery is home to a wonderful collection of Australian paintings and contemporary artworks. Kenzell Farm is a 250 acre working cattle farm, just 10-minutes from Jenolan Caves and 20 minutes from Oberon. We have a breeding program in miniature Highland cattle and miniature goats.   Our family run farm is also home to Speckle Park cattle (some of the prettiest cows you will ever see), horses, ponies, miniature donkeys, pigs, camels, alpacas, llamas, fallow deer, miniature goats, guinea pigs and bunnies - and that’s just the start! We are working small family farm only 5 km north of Orange and home to the Williewarrina Poll Hereford Stud. With an ample vegie garden, we are happy to supply you with some of our in seasonal produce, fresh eggs and home made bread for breakfast. We offer only one spacious camp site at a time with stunning views overlooking grape vines to the east of our farm. If the weather is a touch damp - which it is inclined to be in winter in Orange - we can offer you the shelter of our very large hay shed. It will easily fit a caravan and vehicle with room to spare. It will keep your gear dry and your camp site cosy. After a busy day of visiting the vineyards of Orange you are able to relax around the campfire, whether you're camped under the hay shed or not, and take in the serenity. If you wish, you can accompany us on a cattle experience with both our herefords and highlands, feeding and grooming them (weekends only). You are welcome to try your luck in our dam if you have your own fishing gear. Pets are welcome but we do have livestock on the property, as do our neighbours, so please keep them under control. Unfortunately we don't have any toilets or amenities at this point so you will need to be fully self contained and take your waste away.

Weekend Trip to Riverside Private Retreat

My family and pup had a lovely stay at Trout Valley farm. The property was gorgeous and covered with tiny white daisies when we visited in Summer. We stayed at the site with a backdrop of a large clifftop. It was incredible to have the whole property to ourselves! We enjoyed swimming and kayaking down the river. The cabin was also super helpful as we were struck by heavy rain on our trip and we were able to bunker down inside and play board games. The cabin had everything we could need - gas stoves, seating for our whole party of 8, Pots and pans, utensils, mugs, kettle, camping lights, and a number of pull out sofa beds (although we did sleep in tents the option was there). The wildlife was amazing! So many roos and birds. Awesome to have a flushing toilet and sink to wash hands and mum and dad got a hot shower in the morning! As the electricity ran on solar we were reliant on camping lights at night. Tom also provided a nice fire pit to sit out and enjoy the fire.

Had a wonderful trip with a large group of 14 people and two dogs. It's a really beautiful and scenic place to rest and relax and the dogs had so much fun running around the field of wild daisies. The cabin with a flushable toilet and shower really added a level of comfort to the trip, especially on a particularly windy day which meant we ended making use of the kitchen which is very well equipped. In terms of the drive up, it's doable in a smaller car, don't require a 4WD. The roads are gravelled with a number of pot holes and uneven surfaces so best to drive slowly. A big thank you to Tom for his excellent communication and clear instructions, and for helping us with a small issue at the end of the trip. Would definitely love to return here again.

Fantastic stay, Sam and her family were very welcoming and helpful right from our arrival with suggestions of activities in the area, all of which were great. We had a tour of their beautiful property including their garden full of fresh produce, we purchased some sourdough and eggs for breaky which was perfect and the cow experience was so good with the Highlands and the beautiful Hereford cows. Nothing was a problem for Sam or her two kids who helped out and ran us through the cow experience and showed our kids around. Would 100% recommend.

We had a fantastic weekend at Wooden Valley at Mt Testa! We had a large family group who thoroughly enjoyed the ruggedness and pristine peace and quite of Wooden Valley including the wildlife, spectacular stargazing and beautiful sunsets and sunrises. The kids could ride their bikes, play, run free and just be kids, safely on our very well maintained site and paddock nearby. Michael was a great host and his instructions to the site were spot on. Such value for money and a great site to use, flat ground, it’s exposed so it is a bit windy but it’s easy to block yourself in. Far from the main roads so it’s really quiet. Great sunrise in the morning and stars at night. Plus, we saw a Wombat & a Koala on the private road up to the site! Worth the money for those opportunities alone :)

5 nights at Lyndon Hill

We had a lovely 5 days at Lyndon Hill. Sam was so helpful with local information and alterations to our booking before we arrived. The family showed us and all our guests to the site and they were all super friendly. We even had freshly squeezed Blood Orange juice delivered to camp one morning by Sam (flipping delicious 😋). The cows were even more friendly if that's at all possible. The paddock isn't exactly flat but there was plenty of room to fit 4 caravans easily (and level). The grass was slightly long but it didn't stop us having a wonderful stay. Only a short drive from town, the perfect launch pad for all the wineries we visited (Heifer Station and Stockmans Ridge were our favourites). Thanks Sam 😊

My family really enjoyed staying at Tom's Farm, and would definitely be back again. We had the whole place to ourselves, and there was plenty to do - fishing, collecting firewood, reading, riding bikes, exploring, spotting wildlife. The cabin was an unexpected luxury. Three days flew by. Our dog had the time of his life, too!

Stayed in back creek this time lovely secluded spot away from the other sites, would definitly recommend it Saw lots of kangaroos driving in and managed to find a kola as well as had a brown snake come through camp so watch out when it’s warming up Only negative I could say is it can be a bit tricky to get a level area as it’s on a slope down hill
