While there is no camping on Kiawah Island itself, it boasts great golf courses and Kiawah Beachwalker Park for a day trip full of swimming and sunbathing. Nearby, South Carolina Lowcountry campgrounds are awash with amenities and opportunities for adventuring. James Island County Park offers family-friendly camping with pull-through campsites, modern bathhouses, and laundry facilities. To the south, Edisto Island and Edisto Beach State Park extend their allure with beachfront camping by the Atlantic Ocean.
