The perfect spot to unwind, relax, and snuggle by the wood stove. There is a loop trail that goes around the entire 11 acres of land. There are markers along the trail so you know the boundaries of the area My family and I live on the property, we are here if you need anything urgently. We do spend a lot of time outside so the odd time you might hear our kids playing. We do have 2 VERY friendly dogs named Copper and Chief who might bark at you when you pull into the driveway but are on an electric fence so cannot get back to the cabin. We also have an outdoor cat named Wessie that may come and say hello. Outdoor Fires - based around the Marmora township, all fire warnings are set at the time of your visit. All outdoor fires must be small, controlled and monitored at all times, they must also be put out with water before being left. Sound - after 10:00 pm there is a noise curfew, but even before that you must make sure you are respectful of other guests on the property who come to relax, as well as our neighbors in this quiet countryside region. In the event of any noise rule violations, such as loud music or disturbances after 10:00 PM, a $500 fee will be applied from the deposit. Power - we are on solar energy, embracing an eco-conscious lifestyle. Our off-grid setup ensures that your stay in the Dome is in harmony with nature. The water system operates on a pump-action system. Enjoy a sustainable, peaceful retreat, leaving a lighter impact on the environment during your stay. Our cabin is perfect for the camper who enjoys, and is familiar with camping and the outdoors! So bring your OWN bedding, water and necessary camping gear....We offer rustic, with a bit of extra glam to your camping experience! Although insulated please note there is only a small electric heater!...so expect the fresh open air chill of the authentic camping experience! You'll find a lovely outdoor stone firepit to enjoy cozy campfires or to cook on. The site is provided with a picnic table/umbrella, rustic outdoor furniture, and a clean, simple outhouse, also a small outdoor kitchen area with a propane stove. Inside the cabin you'll find a coffee maker, mugs, plates,. While, as noted before, the cabin is insulated during the cold months with a small electric fireplace. This is the cabins ONLY heat source. Please dress cozy and prepare accordingly as nights can be cold! There are now two 8" foam mattresses as a single bed, or 4" thick double foldout foam bed for two provided. We are 5 minutes to the quaint town of Norwood, and minutes to Hastings Trent River's fishing adventures! We are close to all the needed amenities. Please note, You are welcome to use the wood on hand and wood found on the ground, but it may be wet! We suggest you bring your own dry wood to enjoy a lovely campfire. Hemlock Point Campground

This is an off grid campsite with a gravel driveway, flush-toilet outhouse, screened 8x8 frame gazebo, screened hammock, bbq (with propane), canoe, kayak and gear, and a stone firepit. Comes with the use of fishing rods, guitar, books and games, and the natural setting affords views of various wildlife. Atvs are welcome on the road, and this is a great access point for many trails and lakes in the vicinity. There is ample level ground on site for tents, and reasonably sized RV's. The campsite is a set on a large pond fed by the Black River, and is great for kayaking/canoeing. Campers are welcome to hike the waterfront trail or others within the 56 acre property, just down the road is the Black river bridge and put in for the designated paddling route (rapids downstream, stillwater upstream). This is a unique landscape, nestled between Mt. Moriah , the Elzevir pluton complex and the Black River in an ultramafic zone, with coloured quartz veins and pillowed granite outcroppings. Various lakes and trails are accessible by human power or with off road vehicles. Cell phone signal is limited, my home is equipped with a booster available for emergencies 24/7.

7 acres of field, forest, pond, waterfall, rapids, swimming hole! There are no bad views! Sit by the pond, sit by the creek, sit in the waterfall, sit out at Blueberry Hill for a pleasant breeze or up on SunStar Ridge for some nightly star gazing or lay back in a hammock or on zero gravity chair 1 Bunkie on a hill overlooking the pond and 2 private tent sites, one at Boot Hill and one in the Field of Dreams. Each site has a fire pit and a compostable toilet and there is an outhouse on the property for the bunkie. Great for canoes, kayaks, bird and wildlife watching with spectacular star gazing. This property was part of an old homestead and as such I am still finding things so please respect the caution tape and stay on the marked trails. Some are treasures (European Grapes, Bergamot, French Roses, Asparagus, Rhubarb, Ramps, Fiddle-heads) and others not so much. I am re purposing what I can and collecting the rest for disposal as I nurture this land back to what it was meant to be, paradise. There is an outdoor shower available as well. If you are green minded you are welcome here!

Welcome and thank you for your interest in Forest Time Retreat. We offer an ideal location for those seeking a peaceful and nature based get-away. Stay in a Rustic Bunkie situated a distance from the road surrounded by trees and walking trails over 60 acres. The bunkie features a queen mattress, 4 windows and if desired, the mattress can be rolled up to accommodate a centre table for card playing. There is no hydro, indoor water or heat in the bunkie. Outdoor amenities include: propane barbeque, firepit, countertop for food prep, cast iron frying pan and pot, plates, bowls, mugs, and flatware. A sink is on site for dishwashing and hygiene using non-potable water which we provide. A pit outhouse is available; sorry, no shower yet. Bring your own linens, pillows, sleeping bag and water for drinking. Since you'll be in a nature environment, bug spray is a good idea. Be mindful of identifying poison ivy too. Due to invasive insects, please do not bring firewood - we have firewood on site. The grounds are an excellent location for walking, photography, writing, drawing, painting, forest bathing, meditation or just to chillax. For those looking for local attractions: Westben Theatre, Launch your fishing boat or kayak at Trent River Monument (9 km from site), Ranney Gorge Suspension Bridge, Seymour Conservation Area (with a quarry for swimming), Dooher's Bakery, Empire Cheese, Church-Key Brewing, Fogorig Brewing and several food and restaurant establishments are available in Campbellford area. If you forgot to pack something, Giant Tiger, Dollarama, Stedman's, Sharpe's or No Frills may offer what you need. Only 13 km to Campbellford or 12 km to Havelock.
