Our house is located in Wood River Village. It is the beginning of where the Deschutes River bends as it comes into the town of Bend. One can quickly and easily walk to the river trail from our house. By going up river, one gets the sense of being remote and in the forest along a well maintained trail that makes a 3 miles loop with many rapids visible from the trail. By walking down river, one can quickly access Hayden Homes Amphitheater, Old Mill shopping and Downtown on a paved walking path. Then wake up to the smell of our Juniper trees and watch our local group of mule deer grazing through the yard with views of Tumalo Mountain. Just across the street starts the Canal Trail that heads East and West. A 5 min bike ride East along the trail will take you to a Fred Meyer Grocery store, Starbucks, and much much more. Or take the Canal Trail West through the massive 123+ acres of forested public land that connects directly to the Deschutes River Trail (only 4 mins away). Once there, the outdoor activities are endless! Great fishing, bouldering, biking, swimming, rafting, and nature viewing spots are all within a couple minute walk from our home. Heading to the Old Mill or Hayden Homes Amphitheater for some shopping, a concert, restaurants, or drinks? It all starts 3/4 of a mile down the hill! Campsite is on a second driveway to the front of the house on a wooded, half-acre lot in a quiet neighborhood in Southwest Bend. House lots are big and the area provides nice cool morning walks. There is a curb at the start of the driveway but aids will be provided if necessary.
Electrical (110x2; 50A with converter to 30A), water, and sewer hookups are available! The sewer hookup may not work if your drain is underneath your vehicle and low to the ground.
There is a fenced in yard that may be used if your dog(s) get along with mine and you help with poop patrol. You will need to check the fence line to confirm that your dogs cannot get out, as I am not responsible if they escape. A large part of my yard is rewilding, so you will see tall grasses and increasing varieties of flowers over the years.
A hot tub may be available by appointment. House is enhanced by the use of focused life force energy (FLFE.net), so enjoy relaxing in the higher vibes. There is one cat to rule us all and she may grace you with her presence if you welcome her. And a border collie to guard anyone she deems as part of her "flock."
Site is located an easily walkable ½ mile from a shopping center with grocery (just closed but hoping for another to take its place), vet, Mexican and Asian-fusion restaurants, and a wine bar with occasional entertainment. Beyond that, is a park with a climb to a tall hill with a lovely 360 overlook view of the surrounding mountains.
There is access to the river and river trail about ¾ mile walk away - this trail can take you all the way to Farewell Park and the Old Mill shopping area. And a bus stop is around the corner, just about a house length away.
This is a great base location for all your adventures in Bend and surrounding areas, and a quiet place in which to relax afterwards.

Our farm is a 7 acre farm just outside city limits in Bend, Oregon. We raise chickens and goats year round, with other animals during the summer. We have a canal on three sides of our property, so you can hear running water as if you were camping on the river. There is a beautiful view of the mountains from your spot and you are less than 15 minutes away from Downtown Bend. There are so many amazing things to do in Central Oregon that are less an hour away including hiking, mountain biking, floating the river, and much more.

We are a hard working family of 5 with 2 dogs and a number of other small animals. We run a quiet / tidy space with access to public lands and walking trails. The 2 mile loop around the neighborhood is scenic and lush with irrigation during the summer months. The 2 fenced acres immediately north of the camping area are for your enjoyment. All of this and more, only 10 minutes from town.
Please note that while good separation exists between your accommodations and our primary residence, you should expect to see and hear us around the property on occasion. Lastly, we are at the far corner of a 2 mile gravel loop, making the drive into our property slow and dusty - and also private!

This campsite space works well for self contained camper vans/trucks, tent camping. The tipi space can be used for camping/sleeping in good weather. However- Please note, it is OPEN, un-heated, and during times of rain/snow, it is not weather proof. You are welcome to use your own portable propane or electric heaters at your own risk. No fires or cooking is allowed inside the tipi space.

The hosts were absolutely amazing—super kind, responsive, and accommodating! An actual room to lay your head if passing through for a night. Has those camp-y vibes going overall (e.g., bathroom outside, no kitchen, minimal light enclosure/window privacy) but you've got a super comfy bed, in a spacious room, removed from the elements (w/ heat unit in cold months). Rare find for that middle-ground—a nice spot to come back to after daily outings to surrounding areas!

Zach was easy to communicate with, understood my needs for immune precautions, and got me quickly set up with everything I needed to know to be comfortable in the space.
It was easy to find, convenient for errands in town, but away from the busy-ness. I didn’t end up staying overnight due to a personal issue that changed my plans but would recommend for others.
You’ll definitely want an extension cord and water hose on the longer side for this spot, especially if you have a larger rig or opt to back in.

Such a beautiful spot! The shed was surprisingly cute, cozy, and romantic! The yard was huge and seeing the ducks was such a pleasure. We love being to bring our pups as well.
The shed was super comfortable all around and we found the bed to be comfortable too.
Nick was super responsive when we couldn’t figure out how to turn the sink on. The composting toilet was super easy and clean!

A very convenient in-town location. I used Lyft to quickly get to dinner/entertainment destinations. The Camp is convenient because it is in town (minutes from downtown); consequently, The Camp may be too noisy for some HipCampers (not me).
The grounds and amenities are very well maintained. The camp host is nice and accommodating. I plan on returning.

This was our second time staying at Rocki's and it was even better than the last! We rented both spots and had a great time. The location is perfect - only 10 minutes to downtown Bend, and if you prefer to Uber, it's less than $20. The sites are clean, the lighting Rocki has up sets the perfect mood, and the sunsets are outstanding. I hate (and love) bragging about the spots because it feels like our hidden gem of a campground! We already can't wait to come back!

Where to go
Along the Deschutes River
One of Central Oregon's biggest draws, the Deschutes River and its tributaries, lakes, and reservoirs attract boaters and paddlers, particularly in the summer months. Private and public camping opportunities abound near the river, especially given it passes through some state parks, including The Cove Palisades State Park, LaPine State Park, and Tumalo State Park, a riverside gem with canyon trails, swimming holes, and excellent rainbow trout fishing. Unfortunately, this pristine spot is no secret—book early to secure your spot in the summer.
Ochoco National Forest
Spread out over nearly a million acres, quiet Ochoco National Forest offers a diverse mix of canyons, forest, arid high desert, and lakes. It's a great place to camp, with both dispersed campsites and campgrounds, plus plenty of cabins and private options available to book.
Willamette National Forest
Directly west of Bend, the Willamette National Forest is among the most popular spots in Oregon for hiking and camping. About a fifth of the forest is designated wilderness, accessible only on foot or by horseback, making the area particularly popular for multi-night backpacking trips.
When to go
Bend attracts lovers of the great outdoors throughout the year, with all sorts of summer fun, including rock climbing, hiking, mountain biking, and river rafting. Winter sports enthusiasts flock to the area in the cooler months to ski the slopes of Mt. Bachelor, the crown jewel of the Deschutes Forest. Summers are generally hot and dry, and this time of year is certainly the busiest for camping, so book ahead to sleep under the stars.
Further, in the mountains, Scout Lake features a popular campground and Sandy swimming beaches. When it comes to staying cool, it doesn't get better than the Cascade Lakes. Paddle or cruise your boat across Elk Lake, or kick back on your hammock at a seasonal waterfront campground.
