Lassen national park is a hidden gem. We stumbled upon it accidentally, and can't wait to go back. Crags campground has a tent only loop. We loved staying among other tenters. The site is set in the woods with mountain views. It's quiet and has great facilities. You can even hike to the top of a volcano and see hot springs here.
