Welcome! We’re Jillian and Joe, along with our sidekicks Sonora + Ayla, the brains and the brawn behind Mill Creek Resort. Since 2017, we have been pouring every ounce of our love and energy into this landmark 1930’s resort. We take great pride in honoring it's rich history while creating a space for the next generation of mountain adventurers. Nestled in 12 acres of cedars and towering pines on the south side of Lassen Volcanic National Park, we offer 9 cabins open year-round, along with 17 campsites, some featuring glamping tents and 8 RV spots, one featuring a vintage 70's trailer and 2015 modern RV. We hope your path leads you here to experience all that Lassen has to offer. Miles of trails, pristine waters, dark skies, and wildlife abound, all awaiting to be discovered. Site 8 - Campsite right outside Lassen NP

We loved camping at Mill Creek. Went there for a weekend trip and to visit Lassen National Park. This was my second time here and I’ll definitely back!

Site 11 - Campsite right outside Lassen NP

Park Fire changed our plans.

Unfortunately I cant give a review on the campground because the Park fire caused the area to be closed. We had been watching the fires in the area and started making backup plans. As we started to search for another area to camp, I received a text and email from the hosts stating they were closing and asked for confirmation that I received the message. A couple days later they followed up with another email offering a partial refund, a full credit or asking to donate the reservation. I thought that was much too generous considering we had only booked one night.

Park Fire and Hipcamp

The camp site was nicely located near restrooms and shower, however the site was a bit slanted for tents. It was also a bit on the small side for two cars and two tents. We arrived to beautiful clear weather. Luckily we had some internet and were receiving on the app “Watch Duty” about the Park Fire. By 9:30 pm there was ash falling in camp. In the morning or tents, cars and anything out was covered in ash. We packed up and left without even being there 24 hours. The following day district MLC-12 was evacuated. Not one person came to our camp to warn us. Luckily we had the sense to go! Glad to be safe.

Site 9 - Campsite right outside Lassen NP

Great place to stay. I loved how I had the creek behind my campsite lulling me to sleep at night. The area was very secluded for how many campsites were available. The showers are a great thing to have super reasonably priced and very clean. Very dog friendly and many places to walk them around the area.
