Description

Keeping it close to Moab, you'll find King's Bottom Campground a short three miles from town, which means easy access to a warm diner meal and a cold brew when you need one. Native cottonwood and willow trees dot the campgrounds, thanks to the work of the BLM to remove the non-native trees that had taken over the area. You'll be happy to see that this upgrade to the campground leaves you with even better views of the Colorado River and canyon walls.

Relatively private sites covered by brush and trees, right next to the colorado river but little access to the river. Amazing cliffs towering right alongside the river. No cell service. $20 per night. great camp host- shout out sandy!

There is an amazing hike next to it as well, but bring a ton of water

Camp sites right next to the Colorado River. Pros: Beautiful cliff/arch views, convenient to Moab and 4x4 trails. Cons: No water, near the road. A good option near Moab.

King's Bottom Campground is on the south side of the Colorado River, west of Moab and near the entrance to Kane Springs Canyon. This is a nice area to camp because it is very close to Moab and easy access to Kane Springs Canyon activities like climbing. This campground is next to Kane Springs campground which serves as a catch all for people trying to find a place to camp on busy weekends so expect to near a lot of people when camping here. This area is also very open and prone to being very dusty if there are high winds in the area.
