RV camping in Washington guide

Overview

The Pacific Northwest state of Washington has long been a favorite among RV campers, offering vast expanses of national forests and recreation areas along with ample opportunities for hiking, biking, kayaking, teeing off at local golf courses, and visiting wineries. While you’ll find plenty of RV parks and resorts within a short drive of populated areas such as Seattle and Spokane, many of the best RV campgrounds are set in natural areas such as the Olympic Peninsula and the Washington Coast as well as along the Columbia River and near the faux-Bavarian town of Leavenworth. Pull-through RV campsites with full hookups, picnic tables, and fire pits are available across Washington state park campgrounds and at private RV camping sites—most of which also have proper restrooms and dump stations. There are also plenty of RV sites in Mount Rainier National Park and North Cascades National Park.
