. These are unique camping spots along the Guadalupe River. I didn’t exactly understand how unique until I started getting feedback from my campers.
The surrounding scenery will lower your blood pressure and do wonders to let you reconnect with nature. Sit back and close your eyes late in the evening and listen to all the wildlife talking to each other. There is faint traffic noise from 90A about a 1/3 of a mile away but it calms down after 7 or so.
Currently no amenities but I am in the plans for some portable bathrooms. Please be prepared to cover all your bathroom and cooking needs. I do have some good clean well water from a faucet on the way into the campgrounds.
Campfires are permitted.
There is a convenience store (Diamond A) with clean bathrooms and a great bbq just 5 miles to the west on 90A and a Walmart and HEB 10 miles to the east on 90A. (Both Diamond A and Walmart sell fishing licenses if you need one.
Dogs are allowed at sites 3 and 4 but not at 1 or 2 where my livestock guardian dogs have access to. No matter the size or temperament of your pets you are always expected to have them under your control at ALL times. I have very small livestock in the area frequently

1100 acres of gorgeous natural land at the headwaters of the Medina River. Crystal clear and clean spring feed water. Fourth-generation family owners. Remote camping. Very private with plenty of varied terrain for hiking swimming, tubing, biking or just hanging out in a hammock enjoying the breeze and peace and quiet.
About 2 miles as a crow flies from Lost Maples State Park. You drive through a 13,000-acre ranch to get to us. We are at the end of a dead-end road with one way in and one way out.
NO FISHING
As our topo map shows we have a wide variety of terrain ranging from steep cliffs with huge views to shady canyons. The river cuts through the middle of the place and is surrounded by four hills that each have their unique characteristics ranging from flat oak-covered to rocky steep ridges. I guarantee you will find beauty all around.
We do have a couple of fun areas to try your 4-wheel drive out. Please dont make your own....stay on trails.
There are plenty of places to swim. When the Ladder is reserved, you may not swim there. Please be respectful.
We have 1.5 miles of both sides of the river so plenty of places to swim. It varies a lot in depth and width over the ranch.
Every camp spot has access to all the swimming holes except the ladder when it is booked. The main swimming holes are--

Welcome to Texas Safari Camp
Come escape to a heavily wooded 31 acre pristine wildlife habitat. Only one hour east of Dallas but it feels like another world. At the end of a one lane rock road- this is a very secluded property. It is perfect for tent camping groups and individuals, has a very positive vibe and is more peaceful than most state parks. It adjoins a 950 acre wildlife park with 1200 exotic animals. Many can be seen from the road or you can pay to drive through and feed the animals.
Your host is Randall Oliver. He has been organizing group campouts for years and enjoys hosting, bringing people together and inspiring a love of nature, camping and paddling. Everyone is welcome and campers are treated like family. He can teach your kids to kayak and build a camp fire.
You can fish for largemouth bass, cat, crappy and bluegill in the two ponds and swim, paddle kayaks and paddle boards, hike the jungle trail and socialize around the campfires.
There are no designated campsites. You can camp anywhere except between the green building and the front pond. No vehicles are allowed back on the property. Off road wagons are provided to help haul your gear. Front pond camping areas are 30-100 yards from parking area. The rear pond is more secluded but farther from the parking and outhouse. There are four fire pits around the front pond and one next to the rear pond.
The tiny handcrafted Hummingbird Tree House is perched on an elevated deck overlooking the front pond. and features a queen bed, a bed in the loft for two small kids, electricity, lights, fan, hummingbird stained glass windows, screened operable windows and a screened, operable porthole window in the kids loft. The deck has lights, tables and chairs and outdoor table and chairs and a thatch covered umbrella. There is no heat or AC in the tree house. You must bring your own sleeping bags, blankets and pillows. No food, smoking or pets allowed in the tree house.
There is a rustic outhouse with a modern composting toilet, sink, faucet, lights, soap, etc. and a nearby cold water outdoor shower (no privacy), sink, counter and faucet. Use of firepit and grill, kayaks and paddleboards, rod & reels, hammocks, swinging chair and tire swing is included. Firewood can be purchased $1 per stick

Revel in the breathtaking Hill Country sunsets and immerse yourself in the awe-inspiring star-filled nights. We have 2 miniature cows , 2 baby miniature cows and a Donkey kept in fenced area near our Oak Grove for those of you who enjoy seeing farm animals.

The field leads down to incredible cypress trees lining the Medina River. We also have a primitive camping area down by the river that requires you to park in a parking area and walk to your preferred camping spot.
If you are looking for solitude and untouched nature, this is the place for you. The comforts of Bandera are conveniently only a 5 minute drive away. We are located less than 2 miles from Bandera City Park!
At this time, all sites are completely dry. We do have porta-potties available. RV sites are boondocking only (no water or electric at this time.) Guests may stay at Memmie’s Farm for a maximum of 6 consecutive nights.
Our slice of land on the Medina River is truly gorgeous! There are beautiful cypress trees that are magical year round, and there are often small rapids. If relaxing in the shade by the river and dipping your feet in is your thing, our property is perfect for that! However, this is not a swimming hole. The Medina River is generally not considered safe in Bandera, TX, due to consistent low flow. Swim at your own risk.

Lovers of history might enjoy visiting the Presidio de San Saba, about 20 minutes from the farm, as well as the historic Pioneers Rest Cemetery in town. *Must be 25 years of age to Reserve
*Bring Quiet Gas Generators or Solar Generators for Power
*Bring All Water, Food, Drinks and Chairs; 2 water faucets available on ranch for refilling jugs (not drinkable unless boiled)
*Bring Portable Toilets; Or Tell Us You Want to Rent a Compost Toilet - $25 each
*No Campfires or Fireworks (Fire Hazard)
*Propane Grills/Griddles Allowed (Use Caution)
*No Illegal Drugs on Property, No Underage Drinking!
*Take Trash to Dumpster When Departing (near Nature Center/Office)
*Each Campsite Allowed 2 non-barking, non-aggressive dogs, must always be on leash. No Fee for Dogs. Tell us if you bring dogs!
Each Campsite for - 1 RV and 1 tent -or- 1 Van Camper and 1 tent -or- 4 Tents.
*Refunds Only If it Rains Hard, is Muddy and You Can't Drive in to Pasture Camping Areas! But you can Camp in Nature Center Parking area until dry.

We are a Homestead farm and Native habitat preserve.Once the site of Cherokee and Kickapoo Indian camps . The old wagon train road following their trails ,still scar this property
Now A peaceful wildlife refuge and habitat preserve with artesian streams that run into Ellison Creek Reservoir Lake across the Road. Abundant with song birds, 9 acres of native trees and plants .We are habitat , lane of passage for the animals that call this place Home and stop over for migratory birds and water fowl .We have chickens ,Gardens and Goats as a self sustaining Homestead .I have games ,swings , things to climb, trails to explore or build and a cold clean creek to play in. All easily supervised within your campsite.With preapproval/ You can make bicycle trails, jumps or obstacles during your stay here. you may borrow my bicycles, my kayaks * or my outdoor games. You can feed the animals and pet the bunnies. Baby chicks to hold in season.I can provide you with things to chop up or things to dig up at your own risk.Upon request . I will take you on a nature tour and show you God‘s hidden things in season. Teach you how to cook on an open fire or just visit for a while just for the asking. You can rent my tent and camping gear.I generally have eggs ,garden vegetables and flowers for sale in season. Multiple items for rent and for sale at the camp store. I will cook you breakfast or provide morning coffee.*We have picnic kits available*.
There is no accident insurance provided for you at this campsite. You are responsible for yourself and every person thing or pet you bring on site. I am not responsible for any accident injury or damage caused by yourself or nature.

13 Acres Retreat is nestled in the the rolling hills in the beautiful Texas Hill Country just 30 minutes west of Austin. We are home to some of the most amazing sunset views from our meditation deck in our community park. For the past 8 years, we've enjoyed hosting guests from around the world in one of our homes, luxury villas, glamping cabins, RVs, and campsites spaces. We host weekly meditation and yoga for our guests and have a 24/7 grab-and-go cafe on site for late night snacks. We also have a Tribe Market with handmade goods, mindful books handpicked by the owner, and gifts to purchase and take with you. Guests enjoy showering under the stars in one of our outdoor showers and compliment us on the well decorated outhouse that we have cleaned daily by our amazing team. There is a community pool that's a short trail walk next door to our sister retreat for dips in the pool during warmer days. Our entire retreat has mindful guidelines posted in each listing and we strive to create and maintain a beautiful community of mindful, peaceful, and kind souls.

Randal was a great host and the site is beautiful. Perfect weekend getaway and the tree house is a nice cozy escape. The pond was full of curious turtles and we had a great time kayaking and paddle boarding. 10/10, would recommend and visit again.

It’s an amazing place and the views are gorgeous. The family enjoyed staying the night and making a campfire to cook and make snacks like smores. We tried some fishing and relaxed in the deck taking in the sun. We loved it.

We had the best time at Lone Mound Ranch. Lana and her daughter were the best hosts and we enjoyed their farm fresh eggs for breakfast. It was our first visit to Texas and it was a great, peaceful experience. Our 3 dogs had the best time as ranchers dogs. So glad we found this gem. Thank you!

This place is in a perfect spot. It’s got the best view of the mountain. I did not end up spending the night. I went to capture Milky Way shots and I mainly hung out on top of the container. It was perfect. I would absolutely come again with the intention of spending the night.

The property is adorable and lush. The Den, the showers, the outdoor kitchen all bring an easy breezy vibe to the place. The A frames make it feel like a retreat away and it’s the perfect place for a solo overnight, a couples get away, or a trip with a group of friends. I didn’t try the cowboy pools or the sauna so I’m already making plans to return.

River Grove lives up to its ratings, hands down. Billy & Will have amazing hospitality, and genuinely care for the well being of their guests and animals.
We stayed 1 night at the River Bottom / Wet Creek site #4 - and let me tell you, you are not prepared for how gorgeous and spacious this site is. The rolling grass meadow leading to the site with giant trees all around felt like we were heading into a lost, long forgotten oasis on the edge of the earth. The site itself appears to be split into an upper and lower level, with a gentle slope leading down to a pointed beachfront to both the river and a tributary creek (water on both sides!). 2 fire pits - 1 upper and 1 lower level - allow for multiple options for grilling and chilling. Across the thicket and down a ways on the river, the cows love to come out and relax in the water. They will keep you company should you be a solo traveler.
We brought an off-road Tacoma with a roof top tent + generator, and had no trouble at all navigating the terrain. There is a well on-site if needed, though we packed enough water in and were fine.
Overall, this is our new go-to for quick weekend trips away from the city. Took just over an hour from SA, and couldn’t have been a more thrilling and peaceful adventure for us plus our dog. Props Billy, you have really outdone yourself here! We absolutely loved the farm / campsite!!

The camp sites are clean and nice. Plenty of room for my family. The ground is flat and perfect for tints.
My kids played in the pond pretty much the whole time. They have paddle boards, kayaks and plenty of paddles. We brought floats amd had a blast. My dog throughly enjoy himself as well. All-in-all it was a great time.

Weekend Trip to Memmie’s Farm
Great place to stay. First time staying in a camper and we loved it. Land was very clean and easy to get to. Being able to get down to the river was a big plus! Very close to downtown Bandera. Would definitely stay here again!

We loved our stay at the Hideaway! The cabin is quaint but very comfortable. The kitchen was well stocked for us to cook breakfast and dinner every night. We enjoyed the hot tub, star gazing and had plenty of room to spread out and relax. The land was beautiful! We saw hummingbirds, turkeys and lots of deer. It is the perfect place to stay when enjoying the area.

1 night at Stunning Dome Retreat w/Hot Tub
We had a wonderful stay in one of the glamping tents. It was the perfect combination of being close to nature while still enjoying the comforts of a cozy vacation. The tent was spacious, clean, and well furnished, making it feel much more comfortable than traditional camping.
The peaceful surroundings created a relaxing atmosphere. The bed was comfortable, and the amenities provided made the experience feel special without taking away from the outdoor setting.
The retreat itself was well-maintained and offered a great escape from everyday life. Whether relaxing outside the tent. The entire experience felt rejuvenating. The guy who was on site was named tres and he was excellent and very kind! I would highly recommend the glamping option to anyone! It was a memorable and relaxing getaway, and I would happily return.

Definition of a retreat. Wilson met us at the entrance and gave us a tour of the whole place- incredibly welcoming, knowledgeable, easy conversation. The land all around is stuck in time, it was thoroughly enjoyable just staring at all the rocks and trees. The water is crisp, clear, best swimming I’ve had in a long time. Roaming around, climbing the hills, there’s so many pockets of bliss hiding in plain sight. Endless views of rolling hills and valleys, the sun shined all day, found a great vantage point to watch her go behind the horizon.
This part of Texas is hard to beat. My only regret is not booking more than one night.. I’ll have to come back
