Beach camping in Oregon Coast guide

Overview

Despite being one of the rainier parts of a very rainy state, the Oregon Coast has some of the best camping options in the Pacific Northwest, with ample camping available in Fort Stevens State ParkNehalem Bay State ParkUmpqua Lighthouse State ParkBeverly Beach State ParkCape Lookout State Park, and Harris Beach State Park. All of these Oregon state parks have tent sites, and many also have electrical sites or full hookup sites, plus yurts. While most Oregon Coast campgrounds are in the woods just offshore, sometimes a short drive from the nearest beach access point, many are within a few steps of Sandy beaches. There are also plenty of privately owned options, from cabins to RV sites, available for rent through Hipcamp. Just expect crowds if you come in the summer months, which are relatively dry and warm.
