Campers can also pick from over 15 lakes for day-time fun at the Clermont Chain of Lakes near Orlando. For an unusual summer experience, go snorkeling in one of Florida's hundreds of crystal clear, freshwater springs. Silver Glen Springs in the Ocala National Forest and De Leon Springs near Daytona Beach are both freshwater areas open for snorkeling and scuba diving, so you don't have to deal with rinsing salt water out of your hair. Lake campsites and RV parks exist near all of these Florida hot spots, many with amenities like picnic tables, fire rings, and full hookups.
