RV camping in Lake Casitas guide

Overview

Lake Casitas sits about 30 minutes off California’s Central Coast, roughly between Ventura and Ojai. It's about an hour east of Santa Barbara, making it easily accessible by RV from Highway 101. Fishing and boating are popular activities, which you can enjoy with the Topatopa Mountains in the background. There is a boat ramp if you have your own boat, as well as a water park that provides family-friendly fun. If you want to check out nearby Pacific sights, head toward Ventura to watch the sunset at Emma Wood State Beach or visit San Buenaventura State Beach for a bike ride, picnic, or a walk out on the Ventura Pier. Limited RV parks can be found around the lake, and basic and full hookups are available. Most sites are open year-round. There are also a couple of RV parks in Ventura with hookups, laundry facilities, free wifi, and other amenities.
