Welcome to the Town of Taylor Co-op Homestead! Our living history museum is set in 16th-century Europe and operates as a working homestead, focusing on ethical and sustainable farming practices. As a nonprofit organization, we actively contribute to the local and historical reenactment communities through education and charitable activities. Located in Southwest Washington, our lovely 40-acre farm offers 20 acres of secluded pasture, a beautiful pond, and a charming wooded area for camping. We are proudly BIPOC and LGBTQ+ owned. Our property spans 40 acres, featuring rolling hills of pasture, a small wooded area, a large pond, and a working homestead. The back 20 acres of pasture feature three beautiful campsites: two sites next to the pond and one site next to the trees that provides morning shade. The campsites are available on a first-come, first-serve basis and come with drinking water, a camping toilet, and fire pits. Two days before your check-in, you will receive a message with a link to the welcome guide, providing you with a map, detailed directions, the check-in process, and campground safety rules. In addition to camping, we offer firewood, farm-fresh chicken eggs, farm tours, and classes. During the tours, you'll get to meet our adorable farm animals, explore our aquaponic greenhouse, and discover our sustainable farming practices. Conveniently located just a 5-minute drive from town, our little slice of paradise is close to some wonderful amenities, including restaurants, a brewery, and a grocery store. We hope to provide you with a peaceful getaway from the hustle and bustle of the city.

      Out to Pasture!
      Very beautiful property! Easy access, great communication and remote! We had a very fun weekend camping out in the pasture right next to the beautiful pond. It's far enough out that it checks the boxes for feeling remote, while being close enough to a lot of fun activities in Cathlamet. I really loved the birdsong in the mornings! Lot's of spaces to choose from, though being right on the pond was pretty ideal. I recommend this spot to anyone!

      Great time camping at a farm.
      This is a great place for camping! Take the little ones for a farm tour. The restroom is clean and well maintained. Beautiful surroundings

      Tent camping at Taylor Farm
      We had a great stay at Shira and JD’s farm. Super welcoming and helpful and we had a really nice central site with great views. Very peaceful. The bullfrogs in the pond are vocal, which adds a connection to nature but they can be relentless throughout the night! Super clean bathroom facilities and potable water was a great plus.

      We loved the farm and the view from our spot was lovely. It was perfect for our granddaughter's first camp out. The Canadian Geese as well as the sheep and goats across the pond took our dogs some getting use to, but it was entertaining and good for them to experience. The frogs and birds lulled us to sleep. A coyote even sounded off to the delight of my granddaughter. The rain on Friday night was relaxing and refreshing; it made the grassy field smell amazing on Saturday. Our Host was welcoming and accommodating. We couldn't ask for a better weekend in the country.

      Beautiful farm
      Beautiful farm, wonderful people, idealic setting for a time out. The hosts were amazing. The tour on aquaculture was great, worth every minute and the few dollars. We definitely will be back. Our dogs loved it as well, it is a good idea to keep animals on a long lines as there are many wild distractions for them. Great for us to watch too.

      Farm camping at its finest!
      What a Fantastic place! Shira is such a wonderful person and you can tell she loves what she does. The farm has so much to offer. You can take a tour of everything the farm has to offer and even feed the animals. The campsites are a short drive from the farm and you have a great view that overlooks the property. There is a fire ring and a toilet that you can utilize while you stay. Absolute will come back and stay again on Shira farm.
