Lokking for the best camping at Bear Creek Lake State Park? It is undoubtedly Acorn Loop. The only campground that’s right on the water! A good two thirds of the campsites here have ah-mazing views of the lake, but these sites are primitive. The other third don’t boast lakefront views, but they do have electric hookups, so there’s still a perk to snagging these sites.

This campground is in a wilderness area with virtually no sounds from surrounding population centers - if you like quiet go here in the off season. Also, the cabins are well built with fully equipped kitchens and large covered porches - some with beautiful views of the lake. If you're up for a nice long walk, an easy to moderate 2-3 mile hike takes you all the way around the lake. There's a sandy beach with a snack bar that's open in the summer months.
