Monte Cristo Campground
Description
Monte Cristo Campground sits in a high-elevation forest of aspen and spruce. Visitors will enjoy the scenic drive along Highway 39, past meadows covered in wildflowers during the summer, and forests bursting will colorful foliage in the autumn. The highway is particularly popular with both cyclists and motorcyclists. Hunters often camp here during elk and deer hunting season, and visitors can also enjoy the trails by foot, horse, or ATV.
