Albion Basin Campground
Description
Calling all wildlife lovers! A quick 15 miles away from Sandy, Utah, you’ll stumble upon Albion Basin Campground and all of its wild residents. Moose and deer are regular sights, and you can even see mountain goats defying gravity on Devils Castle, just south of the campground. But wait, it gets better! Albion Basin is also teeming with flora, like the white pines and aspens that populate the basin, lending some welcome shade to the area. The basin is also well known for it’s spectacular summer wildflowers, and there’s even an annual wildflower festival each year. When you aren’t scouting out mountain goats or frolicking in fields of blooming flowers, take a hike or a bike. The trail to Cecret Lake leaves from the campground, and mountain bikers love riding Albion Basin Road. There’s a trail for everyone in this scenic canyon, so get out here and get your adventure on!
