Located about 2 miles from Hamilton Pool Preserve, Westcave and Reimers Ranch, our private and primitive but cozy glamping tent overlooks the quintessential Texas Hill Country. It’s a short hike from your car, deep in a 10 acre juniper forest and under a very dark night sky. Enjoy fossil hunting down the trail, and visit some of the amazing nearby parks and breweries and wineries.** Currently listing our property for sale and pausing bookings. We hope the new owners continue the Hipcamp! **
Enjoy fossil hunting down the trail, and visit some of the amazing nearby parks and breweries and wineries. There’s so much to do in Dripping Springs! The tent is furnished with a queen bed, another queen mattress underneath to pull out and a small futon/couch. It sleeps most comfortably up to 4 adults in the 2 queen beds but if you have another small person, they can comfortably sleep on the futon. Screened windows and a covered deck.
There is NO electricity, but we do provide solar lighting, fans, lanterns, cell phone charging banks, and a hose with clean delicious well water. There is NO heating or cooling, so please prepare for weather and temperatures accordingly just like you would camping in a regular tent. (We’ll fill the tub with cold well water for dunking in the hotter months and load you up with blankets in the colder ones.) Cell service works fine! Well behaved dogs welcome, but be aware we are not fenced and we have a friendly black lab on the property who may stop by for a hello. Small fires allowed in the fire ring when the burn ban is off. You are welcome to bring cooking gear but we have many awesome eateries and breweries in the area! There is a grate for the fire ring for cooking or heating the kettle when the burn ban is off. There is an outhouse off to the side of the tent in the woods, it has a compost style camp toilet and a hand washing station ** Emphasis on the “primitive camping”, but much comfier! Note: our property is very much wild hill country, steep rocky terrain, uneven ground, shared with all the local animals. Good shoes and watching your step a must!
