Wash Creek Campsite
Great short break
We had a lovely four day quick break. Right next to the stream, which was lovely. Even though there was a large group up the hill, you wouldn't have known they were there.
Definitely recommend as a place to try.
Great for caravans or campers.

We stayed at Black Lagoon.
A beautifully secluded spot with room for the dogs to run, nicely maintained areas and Stan is brilliant to deal with. Just be mindful of where the shade is for solar panels, we oopsied that🤣

Platypus Gorge
We'll be back soon!
Stan's a legend and you won't regret your stay here! A good bloke to have a yarn with and he really knows his land. There had been a lot of rain in the lead up to our stay, so Stan organised a site higher up from our original spot which was much dryer. Definitely a beautiful place to camp.

Platypus Gorge
We loved spending part of our honeymoon on Stan's farm (mid-week outside of school holidays). Although there was another site nearby, we had the entire place to ourselves. The secluded alcove at Platypus Gorge was so peaceful and we were surrounded by pristine nature.
Stan was very helpful when we asked for assistance, but apart from that, he left us completely alone. We fully intend to return.

Platypus Gorge
Stunning but noisy
Overall it was a lovely weekend away, stunning scenery, with the added excitement of possible sightings of platypus. The illusion of being away from civilisation was marred by the doof doof music at night coupled with the late night (11.30) yahooing at the dam a short distance from the camp, torches being shone into camp etc so in short a great spot if you don’t mind traffic, chainsaws and tractors and general noise made by those who live on the property, I guess it’s to be expected so close to the city, we will come back as I said it’s an absolutely stunning spot
