We now have toilets. A self contained cabin is coming soon, hopefully by December. 25 acres of koala protected land. Listen to the birds, including the beautiful whip birds Look for koalas and other wildlife: quails, ducks, birds, kangaroos, deer (our property is koala protected bush. Wildlife must not be disturbed). Under a minute drive to local creek and swimming hole. A few minutes drive to Wivenhoe dam recreation area. 15-minute drive to Fernvale for supplies (and one of the famous pies from the bakery). 20 minute drive to Somerset Dam for all your water sport fun. Stop at a swimming hole or lookout on your way up to scenic Mt Glorious. We are about 10 minute drive from Northbrook Gorge, a popular local hike. Copy these links for some local attractions: https://parks.desi.qld.gov.au/parks/daguilar/attractions https://www.aussiebushwalking.com/qld/se-qld/brisbane-forest-park-d-aguilar-np/the-northbrook-river-trail-northbrook-gorges- Bring all necessities and leave no trace. Forage for wood on the ground only, absolutely no tools or chainsaws. Note: our dams are seasonal and are almost empty at the momentOnly an hour from Brisbane, just over half an hour from Ipswich. We purchased our 'block' as a rural retreat, but it's still so close to Brisbane and Ipswich. It's 25 acres of Australian bush, home to koalas, deer, quails etc Kids can enjoy a large trampoline and flying fox. Camping is on grassy flats. Space to kick a footy or play some cricket. Look for wildlife or listen to the birds. Less than a minute drive to local swimming holes A few minutes drive to Wivenhoe dam recreation area Under 20 minutes drive to Somerset Dam: It's calm, flat waters make it ideal for those who love water sports, jet skiing, wake boarding etc. Under 15 minutes drive to Fernvale for all necessities (including Woolworths). Around 10 minutes drive to Northbrook Gorge for hiking and swimming 2WD accessible Bring all necessities and leave no trace. Our property is koala protected bush. We have koalas on site. All wildlife must not be disturbed. Foraging from the ground only is permitted. Absolutely no hand tools or chainsaws to be used on trees Please note, our dams are seasonal. Our small dam is full, our large dam has a small amount in it. They will both be full in the future when we install a pump for our bore.

Northbrook Skies Camping
We had a good weekend.
It was our first camping experience with our 2 year old granddaughter and we had a great time. The property is not well maintained and very basic though has large flat areas and fire pits which is all you really need for some basic camping and some great family time. Didn't come away raving about it but also have no complaints.

Nice campground but toilet is unstable. Pictures on site are misleading and look like Wivenhoe dam is closer and you can walk to it but you actually have to drive. Host is lovely.

Campsite was mowed nicely and no rubbish present. It is less private than other sites I have visited as you can see and hear the owners cabin on the hill above. Would be a good site for families as there are some bikes and scooters available for them to use.

Bush camp close to dam.
Nice quiet little spot, even though it sits next to a highway, there was surprisingly little noise. Only 5 mins from Wivenhoe Dam, which is spectacular! Friendly hosts, easy interaction and access.

Absolutely beautiful place to have a nice camp under the stars next to a campfire. We had a very private and campsite in the back corner with a nice sunset view. Highly recommended.
