Best for self-contained campers. There are no toilets, showers, or potable water at this Hipcamp.
Nomads Rest, a 6 acre property where you can camp with a creek on one side and a large dam on the other, no matter where you set up in the beautifully maintained grounds, you have water either side of you. Lots of shady areas as well as the sunny spots for the solar panels.
Situated east of Gympie, just off the road to Tin Can Bay and Rainbow Beach and 4 km's to Gympie CBD. An ideal spot if you need a safe secure stop off when heading north or over to Rainbow Beach or Fraser Island. Great spot for that long weekend getaway. Hotel, fuel and a convenience store just up the road.
Pets are welcome but strictly be on leash at all times. No exceptions. You need to be self-contained (toilet, power supply and water) as there are no amenities. Campfires are welcome in the fire pits provided, $15 for 15kg, pay onsite.
Nomads Rest has 5 acres of open camp grounds for self-contained caravans, Motor Homes and Camper Trailers. Off grid/self contained camping only, no amenities offered.
