Only 2 miles from "Buckshot Speedway", dirt track fans can enjoy the ultimate weekend. Campsites are approximately 40' x 40' allowing plenty of room for tents, car or hammock camping. We loved the site. Our entire trip, my husband wanted to be out in the wilderness and enjoy the country view in the morning. We found it at Hilltop. Brian was very responsive and accommodating. We had to make a last minute booking at 9pm and he not only responded immediately, he made sure we were taken care of and had good info and directions. We were easily a le to pull in and get hooked up. In the morning we were able to set up chairs and drink our coffee looking out over the trees. Very peaceful and private. Exactly what we wanted. The kids played while we made breakfast. Then we had fun walking down to the farm and petting the goats. Their dog came out to greet us and was so sweet and fun. The kids played fetch with her. It was a 1-night stop in our travels and the kids are already asking to go back. Thank you Brian and family for a great stop in our vaca.

This campsite is truly a hidden gem! From the moment we arrived, we were blown away by how clean, well-kept, and scenic everything was. The site are spacious with plenty of shade, and the natural surroundings are breathtaking — a mix of tall trees and a peaceful water view that makes you instantly relax.
The amenities were excellent —convenient hookups, a picnic table and fire pit. We loved how quiet it was at night; you could hear the crickets and the crackle of the fire instead of traffic or noise. Brian was so friendly and helpful, going above and beyond to make sure our stay was comfortable. You can really tell he cares about keeping the place beautiful and family-friendly. We will definitely come back when we are in the area. Highly recommend to anyone who loves camping, nature, and a little peace of mind.

We had a fantastic stay! The location is perfect—quiet and peaceful, yet just a few minutes from downtown and Northport. Brian was an excellent host and very communicative. Heads up for RV travelers: the gravel driveway is steep, and we needed 4WD to get our 25-foot camper up. Just be prepared if you have a larger rig.

We found the host very friendly. Ross met us and directed us to site 1 . We were able to hook up to 30amp/50 amp service. Water and sewer hook up Such a beautiful site, especially as the sun was setting over a small pond. Horses in the background made a perfect picture. Very quite and easily accessible. I would definitely recommend!

We had such a fun and memorable stay at Happy Hoves! Our visit even included a surprise guest—a curious goat who wandered in to check out our site. While he wasn’t Brian’s goat, our host was quick to step in and try to catch him and figure out where he belonged. It made for a lighthearted and unforgettable twist to our trip, and we appreciated how attentive and responsive Brian was.
The hosts were genuinely friendly, helpful, and easy to reach, which made the whole experience smooth from start to finish. The location was also great for us—we were even able to Uber to a concert nearby, which was a huge bonus.
Our hilltop site was one driveway down from the GPS address, just up the paved road on the left. Once we had the directions, it was easy to find. The spot itself was peaceful and scenic, a perfect mix of privacy and open views. We did need to use leveling blocks for our rig since the site had a bit of slope, but that was no issue and pretty typical for hillside camping.
Between the welcoming hosts, the convenient location, and our unique goat encounter, this stay will definitely be one we remember. We would absolutely stay again and highly recommend Happy Hoves to anyone looking for a friendly, scenic, and well-located Hipcamp spot.

This was a great experience. Brian and his wife were very friendly and made our overnight stay comfortable and enjoyable. There was even a special event that made our stop extra meaningful for our 7-year-old granddaughter. Just hours before our arrival, one of their goats had 2 kids! Our granddaughter was able to hold and cuddle the newborns. We even stopped by the next morning on the way out to say goodbye to the newborns.
The site up on the hill (earlier rain made the field too wet) was perfect.

Feel the wind in your hair on the Kentuck OHV or Sylaward Mountain Bike Trails. If you’re wanting more solitude, try hiking the challenging Odum Point where dwarf trees dot the landscape. Camped here November 2019. Arrived late and set up in the dark. Woke up to discover I was parked by the lake with a view of reflecting fall foliage and mist. Gorgeous location, not many people in Nov. as temps in early morning were low 30s. Hookups included water and electric and there was dump station. (Also tent camping.) Individual shower rooms had good hot water. Only stayed 3 days because temps were dropping to 20s.

One of our favorite places to camp in Talledega National Forest! Nice, shady spots along a clear, cool stream with easy access to hiking trails. Not a lot of privacy between campsites, but it hasn't been an issue for us when we've camped in early Spring because the campground hasn't been full. It's a bit of a drive on Forest Service roads to get there, but the views are nice and it makes for a relatively quiet campground.

So the good with this campground also lends itself to the bad. There is a lot of space in each of the camping sites but this openness and flatness lends itself to people hauling in everything and the kitchen sink to set up "camp". We had everything from radios, clanking horse shoes for hours on end, babies, chainsaws, and dogs making all kinds of racket. It's an absolutely beautiful spot with tons of great canopy but little to no cover in between all of the sites. Outside of a holiday weekend I imagine it would be quite peaceful. It's adjacent to the pinhoti trail so hiking is abundant!

First time at Pine Glen and we loved it! Each campsite has a fire pit, picnic table, and tent pad. Rustic, primitive site but there is a "vault" potty area if you choose to use it. We camped during the week and there were plenty of sites to choose from. It could be busy on weekends and holidays. Very long drive to get to the site but worth it! Very beautiful area! There are bears in the area so prepare for that, bring your own wood, and bring your own water. They have water pumps at the site but they no longer work. Cell phone reception is hit or miss and there is a ton of wildlife in the area. We'll be back!
