Rich in history, this area is home to Hell's Canyon (the deepest gorge in North America), the amazing Eagle Cap Wilderness (America's Little Switzerland), lots of mining history (check out the adjacent ghost town of Cornucopia!) as well as great fishing (Brownless Reservoir, Powder River, Pine Creek and lots of high alpine lakes), museums, the Oregon Trail (make time for the Interpretive Center and also the Museum!). Our "Pack Station" (the location from which day rides and pack trips start) has been on-site since the 40's. The lodge and cabins are relatively new (2008-2010), but sit on the site of an old mine and are adjacent to the Cornucopia Mine and ghost town.
