Enjoy 10 acres of hobby farm and Carolinian Forest, meadows and small ravines. We are not a commercial campground, but we have three places to camp. First, immersed in the forest. Second, seated on the edge of forest and meadow. And last, surrounded by hobby farm life. Your choice. There is a small bush camp away from the driveway and roads, that you have to hike for 5 minutes to get to it. This site is quietest, and surrounded by forest and creeks. There is a firepit. The second site is closer to parking, requiring a short 2 minute walk. A path runs past the site, but otherwise the views are private. There is a firepit. There is also a place to park/camp in the driveway, where the environment of our mini farm is prominent. Chickens and the friendly cat, "Magic" may come around to visit you. There is a firepit close to the coops and gardens, that is shared with the property owners. On the property you can explore gardens, frog hunt, hike trails, bird watch and forest bath. The roads are quiet and paved, perfect for cycling. You can sign up for a talk on off-grid living with the property owners who have 10 years experience. The property offers firewood, drinking water, pastured eggs and fresh garden produce for sale. There is one public outhouse, with a bucket-style compost toilet. Nearby there is a winery open on weekends within walking distance! Long Point beach is 15 minutes away. Port Rowan, 10 minutes away, has restaurants and a grocery store.

Gardens And Off-Grid Mini Farm
We enjoyed our extended long weekend at Petrina's. She is such a lively person, she showed us around the gardens and introduced us to all the chickens. Her husband Roger was awesome and helped us out when we had some car trouble. I would definitely recommend this hipcamp to friends and would definitely love to go back for another visit. 5 stars

Bush Camp
Awesome host and great secluded camp! Couldnt ask for more. Highly recommend camping here. Lovely view of the stars from. The meadow and lots to explore!

Bush Camp
Was very nice experience, the walk in is challenging for older adults. Hosts very friendly and helpful. Bring bug spray for a comfortable stay. Wonderful camping surroundings.

Sugar Meadow
See a spectacular firefly show!
We enjoyed our stay at Petrina’s land. She has built something very special at her home. My daughter loved meeting the chickens! We bought the extra vege basket and eggs. Petrina gave us a big bag of home grown vege that was in season. We enjoyed some of the eggs for breakfast while camping and had the peas and lettuce the day after we got home and they tasted amazing! Petrina has lots of great extras which really added to our stay. Petrina was a great host and great at communicating throughout. One thing to note is that we didn’t have cellular service while there incase this is something you needed. One thing to also note is that the camp area is very small and not freshly mowed and very close to tall grass so lots of mosquitoes and ticks around and we got quite a few ticks on us and our dog. Luckily the local ticks aren’t generally the ones that carry Lyme, but with a dog who is on chemotherapy right now it wasn’t the ideal situation for us but may not bother other people. On the upside if you don’t mind the bugs, you are totally immersed in nature and the fire fly show that surrounded us that evening certainly made up for the other bugs.
