Juniper Campground Group Site
Description
Featuring flora, fauna, and the rugged topography of the badlands, Juniper Campground is a group site located four miles from the entrance to the North Unit of the park. The campground is moderately forested, but most sites have partial to full sun so you can run about in your skivvies and cool off in the river. With access to both the Achenbach (17.7 miles) and Little Mo (1.1 miles) trails, it’s got hiking for everyone from beginners to adventurers. The fall is a great time to come through as the cottonwood trees turn a golden yellow.
