Well ........as a person who is into Celtic history and heritage, I found a place in these North Carolina mountains that resembles the landscape and features of Scotland and Ireland. We hope to create a restful preserve within this property that reflects the simplicity of nature and an ability to blend with the incredible variety of plants, trees and animals that also call this home.

Highland Hill
Great stay!
Had a great stay! Host waited for our arrival and introduced himself and was very welcoming! Easy to get to, just go to the road right before Beech Glenn. Close to Asheville (18 min) close to BRP (30 min) and an awesome brewery (7 min). We hiked all day off the BRP. Great location, great view, flat ground, good firewood, easily accessible. We catty-cornered our car for privacy! Our only complaint would be that it’s very close to the highway so there was noise all night, I recommend a white noise machine! Would stay again

Nice site, lots of road noise
The campground itself is nice and well-maintained. The sites are very close to one another with no privacy from one another, with the exception of site 3 which is nestled in a bamboo grove. The main reason I won't be returning is that the campground is situated about 100 feet from a fairly busy road, and not far from a small highway. Noise from both roads was audible for the duration of my trip. So, peace and quiet was non-existent here. Which is a shame, because otherwise it is a great little spot.

Highland Hill
We enjoyed our campsite and the view. Just off the highway but still peaceful. Mark is a gracious host and has done a great job with the property. We had no issue with getting in or out with our 31’ travel trailer even on soggy ground. We’ll definitely be back.

All the space I needed to set up my tent. Make sure you read the typed directions because if you use the address provided, you’ll be on the next road down. Enough space for wiffle ball if you have friends.

Mountain views and open space!
We Had a great time at highland hill! It was nice to have the wide open space for group activities and the view was stunning! We will definitely be back!
