This is a non-smoking, no candle facility. The camp was founded 40 years ago as a summer camp for kids. Now we welcome adults, and other groups to enjoy the vast and wild high desert nature up on this ridge. There are beautiful views and access to Shaggy Peak, the southernmost tip of the Rocky Mountains and the Sangre de Cristo Mountain Range. Wander our land to enjoy various level hiking trails including a 20 minute hike to a creek and waterfall in the forest (some steep spots and creek is intermittent) or climb up Shaggy Peak (seasoned hikers only please). NOTE: We are up 1.3 miles of dirt road (with 5-7+% grade in a few short stretches) and are not near public transportation so you will need your own vehicle! Be aware that the roads can be snowy, icy or muddy and rutted ( 4-wheel or All-trak recommended in certain times of year). We don’t guarantee the road will be plowed.

Pegasus 3 Treehouse
Ciana was awesome!! The weather got cold so she switched us from a treehouse to a cabin last minute. Cabin was perfect!! We would definitely stay there again!!!

Treehouse Camp:Tent, Van Truck camp
We had a great night!
The hosts were very nice; the restroom and shower places are incredibly clean; drinkable water is available. It's great that there are also two kitchens for preparing meals (although we did not use them). Just keep in mind to follow Ciana and Brad's instruction for finding the campground, as navigation (like Google Map) can be confusing. The lack of picnic tables is a little inconvenient but just a minor issue.

Great Time In The Woods
Place was very clean, including the bathrooms. The showers had hot water (super A+)!! Staff and host were very informative and kind. Everyone on camp grounds were very respectful. The location is great and close enough to Sante Fe to enjoy it. We would 100% camp here again.

A great escape
This is a great spot! Amazing views and caring people. For the land and for the campers. I really wish I had more than the one night that I was passing through!

Tecolote 1 Treehouse
It Good
We were pleasantly surprised to be welcomed by friendly staff, who answered all of our questions about the area. The camp host kept us feeling safe by checking in on anyone making there way into camp. The access to amenities made it feel like we were somewhere between camping and glamping. Their shower, bathroom, and kitchen area were kept cleaner than any other campsite we've been to. Wish we had more than one night to enjoy the camp and the beautiful nature surrounding it. We'll be looking for a way to make our way back in the future.

RV, Trailers at Treehouse Camp
Beautiful location.
This is a lovely site and a great remote location! We did love it. The views are beautiful. Everyone was very nice. Unfortunately, our solar system stopped charging and there is no electric and they are not keen on using a generator. I don't blame anyone as people go here to be in the peace and quiet. We opted to leave due to this (refridge is all on electric and not propane). There is no refund when this happens so you have to be prepared. There are many 'experience' camping spots in this location and it would be great to book a tent experience in this location. The road to the site is tight and winds around and there are two steep grades to access the location. This is not included in the description to get to the location that I remember. Perhaps we missed it. If this was clearer, we would not have attempted this with our RV. If you have a tall RV it will get scratched up. I highly suggest more detail on the travel in and out of the camp. In addition, the sites are small. I would highly recommend that trailers not be over 20 feet long. The HipCamp application does not allow users great descriptions of sites and often we have to call to validate what will fit at the site. This would be great feedback for HipCamp to understand.
