Lavender Farm
Lovely spot under the pines
Ellen’s site is a lovely sprawling one tucked under the pines. Lots of space to spread out! We had three girls hanging out in hammocks, three dogs running on a long line tied between trees, and a great little camp kitchen by the fire area. We easily found three flat spots for tents.
Lots of fire tools were provided, just BYO wood and gloves. Ellen provided a camp shower bag of water which we used for dishes and hands. She even gave us some fresh eggs from her chickens!! I bet it’s even more beautiful in lavender season.
For your awareness, this site is relatively suburban, as campsites go. You can hear cars going by, lots of planes going in to Newark, neighbors doing weekend chores and activities, etc. But being so close to civilization, it was easy to run out for anything you forget, and it’d be a great landing spot after the beach, a show, etc.
Tip: don’t follow the hipcamp coordinates! Use the address (unless you want a tour of a neighborhood of $5M+ homes).

Lavender Farm
Wonderful spot with lots of amenities. We loved the privacy for ourselves and our dogs, nestled in the pine needles. The large table was great for a kitchen area where we were able to cook full meals and easily wash up with the camp shower. We would love to return in the future.

Lavender Farm
We really enjoyed our trip at this site. The area is beautiful and the site is fairly private and very well maintained. Ellen was very accommodating and hospitality, especially in the face of the bad weather and flooding that postponed/shortened our trip by a day. Will definitely be returning in the future!

Magical lavender stay
Amazing hosts John and Ellen! They are very passionate about the lavender farm and enjoy spreading that love to others! Me and my friends set up our tent in the camp spot they have nestled in pine trees ! We even got to play with the goats and chickens they have. It was a beautiful experience and thank you John and Ellen for being so friendly and accommodating! See you next summer

Gorgeous campsite!
Ellen was a fantastic host! The camping spot was private, and very quite. Her farm is absolutely gorgeous, along with her goats and chickens, this made a really great spot to call home for the night. We would highly recommend!!! Thank you so much for your hospitality!

Lavender Farm
Ellen’s lavender farm is awesome
Ellen was absolutely wonderful a very kind host, who showed both my son and myself a great secluded campsite, quiet except for nature, and plenty of wood found on the site to burn in the fire pit! We are definately going back, close to big Brooke, and poricy park for fossil hunting! 5 stars
