This 80 acres of land was purchased by us in late 1990s, for building our electrical contractor business on one side. The other 40 acres remain as field, woods, and man-made lake. We considered a campground on frontside in field, but found out it's protected land for the Karner Blue Butterfly! So we chose to clear some wood area instead, under same name! Sites are nestled in a Wooded grove of trimmed oak trees, overlooking small man-made lake.  Nice for quiet camping, about 7 miles from Montague and minutes away from Lake Michigan. Recreational activities nearby to suit everyone!   We are a small campground finding the right avenues for growth. Our current sites are about 35-40 feet wide and 50-60 feet long.  Sites are located adjacent to other campsites. We are able to accommodate both tent campers and recreational vehicles. Firewood available for sale onsite.   We are planning to develop additional sites that are secluded and more rustic in the off-season to provide another style of camping for those wishing to immerse themselves in nature. Note: When placing a reservation Hipcamp automatically assigns a campsite which does not communicate with out internal system. Once booked we will contact you with the official site number assigned to you for your stay.

Great experience in the outdoors
My boyfriend and I had a wonderful time on our camping trip this past weekend. The campground was not overcrowded, so which site we stayed at was flexible. We found a site that was perfect for our tent. It overlooked the forest and the pond. There were a perfect amount of trees surrounding us so we could hang our hammocks from them. The site was covered in grass and it offered a picnic table, fresh water access and an electrical box. The bonfire pit was great quality and there is wood offered on site for purchase at a great deal. The portable bathrooms were clean and the groundskeeper was friendly, as well as the other campers. The owners are passionate about what they do and they want everyone who stays to have a great experience. We would definitely come back!

Pros and cons, mostly pros
The instructions were pretty clear and the area is very nice. I had to message the host for our site number and some other questions but they responded really quickly which was appreciated. I was a little bummed with the man-made lake because the "shower" option states to "bathe in the lake," but it's quite small and calm, which I wouldn't trust for a bath (running/river water is best). The porta potties and electricity were great additions considering the other sites we stayed at were completely rustic. They also had bundles of wood for $5 - awesome. Overall I'd recommend this place and would probably stay again with the good price.

Small Low Key Camongn
Small scale campground for those that prefer not to camp in a crowd. Clean sites, water, electric. Not oversold so able to space out from other camps. Family friendly and pet friendly... time to relax around fire when the sun goes down. Self serve Campfire wood for sale on site was a nice perk. Portas were clean and fresh. A new permanent restroom structure is in process and sure to please guests. Our hosts greeted us after set up and shared insights. Ability to communicate through text/Hipcamp communication thread is a nice feature. Would stay here again if in the area ... close to all we needed and sought to venture to. Thank you.

Great Time!
The first Cub Scout camp out for Pack 4053. We had a great time hiking, swimming, fishing and kayaking! Very clean, quiet campground. Loved that there is water and electric at every site.

We were close to other campers but it wasn’t bad, the lots for each camper were the perfect size for our tent, vehicle, fire, picnic table and lots more. There was also a super pretty lake right behind our tent and a lot of space to walk our dogs

Affordable, Clean port-a-pottys, clean water, excellent cell phone reception, nice sized fire ring, and they sell wood on site so bring cash! This was a great little spot near Whitehall, North Muskegon, Silver Lake, and Ludington. It is close to US-31 so you will hear vehicles passing by.
