Lake Bistineau Campground
Description
Combing the shores of Lake Bistineau, the area’s like-named campground is a mecca for the everyday angler. Born from a “log jam” in the adjacent Red River, Lake Bistineau is the byproduct of the submerged acreage that later ensued. And, beginning in January, the “yo-yo” season begins, lasting up until late-summer; the “yo-yo” moniker refers to the vast number of crappie caught within the lake’s confines. Be sure to hook, line, and sink one of the modern campsites that line the beguiling lake.
