You talk about social distancing Mirror Lake is the place for you. All of the Mirror Lake properties are private. There is 175 acres here at mirror lake and the lake is approximately 12 acres. With Amish farms and families all around. The Mirror Lake Bunkhouse has all amenities. You are welcome to cook over an open fire, use the grill or the small kitchen accessories provided. don’t forget the option is always available to go out to dinner with a restaurant only 4 miles away. Although we are located in the middle of the country. You can wake up to beautiful sunrises or take in breath taking sunset in the evening. The lake is a private lake owned by three property owners. Our Cabin # 2 “Old Phil” Is located on the west side of the lake in a 15 acre woods. About 1-1/2 miles away is Our cabin # 1 “Little Elk” Is located near the little Elkhart River. Nestled in its own 10 acre woods. Both of these properties are primitive ( no running water in an out house for a bathroom). Firewood is provided and there are trails in the woods to walk. The Mirror lake property has been a family farm for over 185 years. There is a family cemetery that dates to 1832. If you want to be around a lot of people in the fast track this is not the place for you. If you’re looking for peace, quiet, tranquil, social distance but still enjoyed this is the place for you!

Cabin #2 Old Phil on Mirror Lake

Everything was as expected for primitive campsite. We did not use the cabin. We had a small teardrop camper and tents. Nice fire and seating area. Plenty of firewood was on site. We enjoyed the trails and the lake. There were lots of large bluegill to catch.

Mirror Lake Bunkhouse

the cabin was perfect for us. We had coffee every morning, cooked outside on the propane griddle, took a shady walk in the woods and fished in the lake from both the dock and from a paddle boat. Our dog loved running in the wide open spaces and immaculate grounds. Our host Kathy was amazing and we look forward to staying here again next year.

Had a great stay, I come here every year. A rustic cabin, free firewood, a nice lake, and seclusion make this a rare find.

Remote & rustic cabin camping

Great camping on Kathy's land as usual. We come every year and enjoy the remote nature, beautiful lakes, and rustic cabins.

Mirror Lake # 1 Cabin Little Elk

Mirror Lake #1 cabin, Little Elk”

Part of the roof is falling apart. The outdoor chairs are dirty. The picnic table and inside table gave me slivers. One of the air beds was deflated. The “river” was a dried bed. The house needs to be cleaned and maintained. The privacy was nice, and the songbirds were lovely. There was plenty of wood for a campfire. I wouldn’t recommend this place until it it is fixed up.
