Hasten to Hope at Haystack Gardens
The hosts were very friendly. They are renters of the property while the owners have the Hipcamp posting. The posting should be updated with the owners not staying there as there were not goats, barn cats, or eggs for purchase. We did not use the outdoor toilet. Due to gnats we camped by the fire pit and did not explore the property. It was pretty basic, but that’s what we were looking for. The price seems a bit high for what you get, but with IL campgrounds being closed, it was a great fit.

Hasten to Hope at Haystack Gardens
A very tidy spot in a large yard backing up to larger fields. Some houses nearby but we still felt secluded and had plenty of privacy. The host was helpful and responsive when we had trouble ascertaining wether we were at the right place as we arrived after dark. Maybe some more visible signage to direct you where to park would be helpful. Pretty bare bones but that’s what we were looking for as we were just passing through the area and needed a place to put up tents. Toilet is extremely basic and has no door or curtain.

Lovely property with plenty of room to roam and set up your tent. The property went further back than expected but I stayed pretty close to the first camp site and drove my car in to unload.
The hosts were communicative which made finding the location a breeze! They said hello and let me do my thing. I unloaded my gear and immediately went to the goat pen and took a few photos while thoroughly entertained.
You'll have a fire pit with wood prepared to burn upon your arrival. Don't forget to bring toilet paper! You'll find the potty along a little trail in the woods close to camp.
