Falling Waters State Park Campground
Description
Try not to get altitude sickness at this campground, located 324 acrophobia-inducing feet above sea level atop one of the highest hills in Florida. You may need a Sherpa to reach it. There are 24 campsites in total with water, electricity, ground grills/ fire pits, and picnic tables; most sites accommodate RVs up to 45 feet in length. There’s also a group campground for up to fifty people with two large fire rings and picnic tables as well as water and an outhouse. The main campground also has an amphitheater and large fire ring where rangers put on presentations and interactive talks on Saturday evenings. Just remember to acclimate yourself to the formidable altitude to avoid acute mountain sickness.
