40 acres of Tamarack bog, Aspen, Birch and Maple woods, and privacy. Whether your looking to commune with nature, get away from it all for a weekend, or enjoy some classic Northwoods activities, make this your base camp. Hike the property, nap in the bunkhouse, or take in the scenery on the bog down by the 18 acre private lake. (Lake is NOT ideal for human swimming or boating) Let the dogs go nuts. Plenty of space for them to run wild or swim in the lake. Fish the bridge on the Clam river, or take the boat to the sandbar on Clam Lake. Public boat launch is 10 minutes away. 10 minutes in the opposite direction is Tjader Acres Disc Golf Course, named of the 100 best courses in the world. Located 4 miles from Downtown Siren, and its excellent coffee shops, bars and antique shops. Pick up the Gandy Dancer Trail in town, and head North to Danbury and the St. Croix, or south for a day trip to Taylor's Falls. If all that sounds like too much, then come crack a beer and listen to the wind blow through the bog forest. Ben’s site was great. It felt very private and safe. The property was well maintained. We opted for the addition of the bunkhouse and were so grateful we did. When we pulled in the horse flies were out in force. It gave us a safe respite from them to play cards and relax. We also took advantage of the patio and gas grill. We would stay at Ben’s place again.

Spent five days. We camp for our dogs. They loved the property, we enjoyed ourselves immensely. Bring drinking water, wood, and water shoes. Well is typical north woods (iron), if you like fire hit up Jackrabbit Firewood. You will get wet going through the bog to get to the lake, not more than up to the calf. Yes, there are mosquitos, it's Wisconsin. Pitched our tent on the pad and hung out there. Didn't use the gas grill but tested it, LP in the tank, igniter is dangling in the cabinet, all burners work. Bed in the bunkhouse is comfortable.

It was great to have a private space! It's a beautiful area to explore. Make sure to check out the Cheese Store in Alpha and don't forget bug spray!

Really beautiful area, lots of mosquitos as to be expected. We didn't use electric or the bunkhouse but the stay was exactly what we were looking for - no noise no other campers and lots of places to explore with our doggos off leash.
