Tea Creek Campground isn’t a place to pinky up with a cup of earl gray folks, this spot will get you down and dirty in the heart of the forest as quickly as you can set up your tent!

Offering plenty of room for RVs and tents a few of the sites are creekside while all the sites offer a chance for campfires and grubbin’ with nearby restrooms and water. Start your morning off with a little trout fishing, then choose from one of the four trailheads for hiking and biking. We dig the Bannock Shoals Trail, but all will lead you to 5,400 acres of backcountry glory! Tea Creek camping is made for kings and queens.

As the source of the Falls, Sweet Springs Creek, serves as a long, unique home for trout, calcified travertine rock, chalybeate water, and ancient beaver dams (as well as active ones!). Beaverdam Falls is a rare place for the lack of stone and the centuries of beavers who have left their trace in & on our creek—and swamp, the Stick Marsh, which has an active beaver dam. Be careful! They do bite!

Approx 5min walk across edmond-lansing rd to short creek/head house trail. Hiking to views of the gorge, down to the river and plenty of climbing. Endless wall is 2 min drive down the road, some of the best hiking and climbing in the gorge! Beauty Mountain overlook is 1.5 miles away. Campsite is off of a private neighborhood road. GPS will NOT take you to our place. It will send you to the neighbors, so please follow written directions from host. We don’t want to burden our neighbors. Thank you! There is a small fire ring, bring dry wood and make sure to put your fire completely out anytime you wont be attending it, this is the woods. ALL are welcome. Close to Snowshoe Mountain, at only 1 mile drive from the entrance to Snowshoe Mountain Resort. This is a great spot for mountain bikers and river lovers. So close to snowshoe and affordable makes this an easy decision. Also the wildlife, flowers, and river on the property make this a truly powerful place. There is some traffic and noise from the road but it quiets down through the night and all you can hear is the trickle of the stream. We have a lovely 20 acre are that has easy to pull up to camp sites and some that take a short walk but are able to camp right near the river bed. We offer camping for all ranges of groups and travelers. We have campsites for tents, cars and vans, big RV's and Trailers, and then group sized sites. You read that right you can camp anywhere on the property, move around, and feel free to stay multiple nights. This 235.51 acre property has all of the most sought-after characteristics: close to the amenities of Hot Springs and The Homestead resort, total privacy and protection, beautiful trout stream, direct access to hiking and mountain bike trails on the adjoining 3000 acres of National Forest, and a 60-mile sunset view. It offers over 1,000 ft of vertical gain. The property includes a half mile of Cowardin Run. With generally mild winter weather, the property is perfect for experience the magic of the Allegheny Mountains. Significant improvements to the road with addition of culverts and a top coat of stone were done over the 2023-2024 winter. This beautiful 20 foot tent sits on a 24x20 platform giving you a 4foot porch to sit and listen to the sounds of nature. This tent is fully off the grid with a generator on site for back up power if you need it. We have power banks available to charge electronics. Queens size air mattress with two additional sleeping bags. T-Mobile has the best service. AT&T and US Cellular 50-80% coverage. You must bring charging cords. We offer 5 gallon solar heated shower bags for the outdoor shower. Firewood bundles are stacked under the deck with roasting sticks. All lights are solar with a few battery operated ones. Extra batteries are on site. There is a grill and propane tank on site with grilling utensils, cutting board, and spices. Plates and silverware provided. We offer a cooler just bring your own ice! If you forget your shower accessories, don’t worry we have you covered. You will also find a 4 cup French press and water kettle. Bug spray and hand sanitizer on site! We are less than a 1/4 mile from Maniac Mountain Haunted House, so you will hear the chainsaws, gun shots, and screams during the Sept-Nov time. We have 160 acres of wilderness you can explore. Be cautious of wildlife and look for WARNING signs. We have a private shooting range in the bottom fields of the property so you may hear gun shots April- September. The range is for our junior marksmanship program to practice for Nationals and local matches. For winter months Oct-April water supply will be limited. A propane buddy heater can be requested as well.

The cabins are primitive, no electric or water. There are solar lights inside and and out also a propane wall heater for chilly nights. This is comfortable camping in the Beautiful Mountains of WV. There is a shower house with instant hot water and outside spigots for water, a porta potty, a fire-pit for cooking and camp fires at night while star gazing. The property is over 100 acres in Greenbrier county WV. There is a lot of history in this area. There are tons of wildlife on the property as well. We have awesome trails with GREAT Views for hiking or horse back riding should you decide to bring your own equine. Pets are allowed with prior notice (not to be left unattended in the cabins). We have a private dog park that you will have access to on the property. We also offer doggie daycare & boarding here at the farm (prior proof of vaccine is required) should you need our services. We also house horses/ponies/ goats/sheep/geese/ducks & chickens here on the farm. We are located 4 miles from downtown Lewisburg which has wonderful stores, antique shops and restaurants. Some of the attractions in town include Toot (taste of our town) , The Chocolate festival, WV State Fair, Carnegie Hall not to mention The Greenbrier Resort which is only 15 mins away. Also in the area is the Greenbrier River Trail 77 miles long for hiking, biking and horseback riding. We are outside of the town of Beverly up a winding, country road. The town of Elkins with more restaurants is about 15 minutes away. Snowshoe Mountain and Timberline Mountain are both one hour away by car. Popular destinations nearby include The Forks Restaurant, Mi Fiesta restaurant, Seneca Rocks, the town of Bemis, Mule’s Hole, Dolly Sods, Spruce Knob and Blackwater Falls for outdoor adventures. Nearby ski resorts are Snowshoe Mountain and Timberline Mountain. The historical towns of Davis and Thomas are within an hour. Mountaintop offers superb stargazing, swimming, fishing, hiking, strenuous mountain biking, camping, serenity, peace, and connective nature immersion. There are currently three sites: the MountainTop Cabin (sleeps up to 4); the Retreat Cabin (sleeps up to 4): and the Fern Grove campsite (sleeps up to 4). You can book a cabin or the campsite for your family, or the whole place for a small group by booking each site--that will ensure privacy. Camping at Possum Holler Camp will provide you the perfect blend of solitude and recreation access. You will truly be in the heart of the New River National Park, yet still feel secluded in the beautiful woods without neighbors. You will have private access to beautiful and idyllic Mill Creek, which has many beautiful emerald pools and is even seasonally stocked with rainbow trout! Within a mile you can access the New River Gorge Bridge and the Canyon Rim Visitor Center, and you are equally close to the park's world class climbing, rafting, hiking, ziplining, and mountain biking at the New River Gorge National Park and surrounding areas. Your group will have the entire camp to yourselves, so there's no need to worry about noisy neighbors. Our driveway has recently been revamped to include more flat parking and a less steep access route! While these improvements are great, we still caution our guests to avoid bringing large trailers and to use 4WD if available in an attempt to minimize rutting in the future. We want you to enjoy a lovely campfire, but we ask that you purchase firewood locally because invasive pest species can travel in firewood. Possum Holler Camp is a Leave No Trace campsite, guests are asked to pack out anything they bring in and leave the area undisturbed. This includes damaging vegetation, creating new fire rings, or altering the natural area in any way. Also, please do not camp in the meadow area and only use the cleared out areas in the woods surrounding the parking and picnic/fire area for pitching tents. If you stay below the high water line, then feel free to move as far up or downstream Mill Creek as you like. The creek is indescribably beautiful in both directions! But please keep in mind that there is private property once you are above the high water line, please do not trespass on our neighbor's property.

There are many remarkable places to see while you're visiting; Cranberry Wilderness area, Watoga State Park, Bear Town State Park, Droop Mountain Battlefield State Park, the Highland Scenic Highway + a little further North up 219 is Snowshoe Mountain Ski Resort; a favorite for skiing + snowboarding, mountain biking, music (4848 Festival) + many other outdoor activities!

You want primitive camping? You've got it! All of the sites are very spaciious with plenty of room between the sites. Make sure you put your cooler away (we pushed outs under the camper) because bears will try to get in them and who wants to replace a good cooler? Make sure you have plenty of jugs or water totes because you'll need to pump water from the well. Don't use the outhouses. You'll never forget the smell. I've found ferns to be quite entertaining when needing a squat.

Site 51 was relatively exposed and located next to the bathroom. We were able to grab a campsite on the Friday of the 4th of July weekend. Campground has a large number of RVs. I would prefer the river sites on a return visit.
