Welcome to the enchanting Brooklyn Heights Riverfront Campground, a pristine natural paradise nestled nearby the Monongahela National Forest and graced by the stunning Dry Fork River. Since our grand opening in July 2022, we've been welcoming guests year-round to explore and enjoy our 35 acres of unspoiled wilderness forest, complete with winding trails and a captivating 2100 feet of riverfront. Our diverse accommodations cater to all outdoor enthusiasts. Choose from 15 camping sites, each equipped with fire pits and slabwood benches amidst ample parking. For those seeking a rustic retreat, our 5 primitive shelter cabin sites feature cozy 10x12 lofted barn cabins, securely lockable with your padlock. RV adventurers are welcome too, with 10 picturesque near riverside spots (best suited for towed RVs up to 32 feet or drivable up to 35 feet). Four of these provide full electric and water hook-ups, while the other six offer a serene boon-docking experience. We have also recently added 2 deluxe furnished cabins, 3 large group riverfront campsites, and a bohemian bus shelter site that sleeps 8. Immerse yourself in the beauty of nearly 4 miles of wilderness riverfront, situated on a breathtaking road leading to the charming town of Parsons, WV - the heart of Tucker County and gateway to Thomas, Davis, and Canaan Valley. Your adventure starts here: kayak down the merging Dry Fork and Black Fork Rivers, stroll over to the nearby Hendricks via a charming cable suspension bridge, or explore the Fernow Experimental Forest, just a mile downstream. The surrounding Monongahela National Forest awaits with its vast, unlogged forests. Thrill-seekers and nature lovers alike will find no shortage of activities. From waterfall explorations, creek adventures, and fishing to kayaking, tubing, and hiking, there's something for everyone. Don't forget to bring your bikes, kayaks, tubes, roller blades, snorkels, goggles, and river shoes for an unforgettable outdoor experience! Our camp provides spring water spigots for general use, an office cabin with electric charging access, and clean porta-potties. Wi-Fi is available near the office cabin (password: campground19). The lovely town of Parsons, with all its conveniences, is just a 4-mile drive away. For a seamless experience, we offer online booking and self-check-in, with check-in starting at noon and designated parking spots for each campsite. Join us at Brooklyn Heights Riverfront Campground for a stay that promises tranquility, adventure, and a connection with nature like no other.

RV1 - Electric RV-site
Great place near water
The camping was very close to the beautiful water. Walk to fishing, swimming, hiking, sights. They offer a beach and tubes for free. Such kind people who are in charge! Very clean and quiet.

C2 Campsite
We stayed at the C2 site and it had some pros and cons. From the pictures, I was under the impression it was along the river but it's actually across the road from the river. The C2 site is very close to the porta potty and office. Convenient yet not very private. You can see the junk next to the shed, which wasn't very attractive and there's a slight smell from the porta potty. I think the other C sites would have been much better. I suggest they add more accurate pictures of each site on their website. The website itself had a lot of info and the hosts were very hospitable. The site is pretty large, lengthwise, but not what I would call private. Overall, the site was fine but not great.

RV2 - Electric RV-site
Ah! Relaxation.
This was our second trip to BHC. We went last October when the trees were changing to fall colors. Everything was green, vibrant, and delightfully cool this time. We enjoyed walking and bike riding on the local roads. I got a little fishing in along the river. The campground is a bit spread out, but signage is excellent. The folks working around the campground were very polite and helpful. We did have an after-hours noisy neighbor (who apologized the next morning) one night, but overall the stay went well. We would recommend that folks bring their own water, or filters for the camps spring water. A table would be useful since there are no picnic tables at the RV campsites. I don't know if tent or cabin sites have them. Chairs are a must as well - there are wood benches around the big fire rings that can be a bit uncomfortable. They are low to the ground (or seemed so to us older folks). We heartily recommend this site for its relaxation. Falling asleep to the water rushing down the river was nice. Little to no air traffic, train whistles, or sirens. Be careful how you arrive at BHC- local roads are good, but narrow. Google Maps will try to shunt you down some tricky roads. If you're in anything larger than a 25' class C I'd be very nervous. Towing a large trailer could be equally challenging.

D3 Campsite
Love this place!
It was beautiful. Close enough to civilization but far enough to make you think you were in back country. We stayed with our doggo at D3 which was parking lot and walk in but the walk wasn’t strenuous by any means and the site was massive and private. Saw a bunch of deer too! Camp staff was friendly and helpful, quiet at night, great deal on a wheelbarrow full of fire wood. Booked this place last minute, day of, and it was super easy instant book with no crazy check in requirements. Will definitely stay here again!
