Welcome to Cedar Star Ranch! A destination designed for large groups and private events. We look forward to hosting you soon. The CAMPGROUND at Cedar Star Ranch is located in a private and heavily forested area of the property. Currently, the grounds are available to rent individually or in its entirety. The campground includes two covered 12’x20’ shelters, one 8'x16' cabin, and three tent sites. Each site has a fire pit, picnic tables, room for additional tents, and parking as well. Surrounding the sites is a playground, covered community cooking/dining with multiple BBQs and smoker, a pond, open fields, and a quaint dog park. All amenities are easily accessible by the road that loops through the campground. This listing is for the CAMPGROUND ONLY. The property has other homes available for rent including a large home (sleeps 16), a smaller home (sleeps 4), and an indoor event venue. Additional accommodations and access may be possible as well. Super quiet and a good location. Lot of shade. Only thing, the showers at the truck stop are locked, they are only for truckers.

Cabin at Cedar Star Ranch

Right off the bat, there was apparently some issue with the booking, where Hipcamp let us book the spot even if it was supposed to be blocked out. This resulted in the cabin bedding not being ready for us, because Austin didn't realize we were staying at the cabin. But once he realized what had happened, Austin was quick to accommodate for us and get sheets and comforter for us despite being out of town. (Thank you!) Location It's about a 15min ride from Bellingham, so it's very convenient! We were able to swing by a Safeway and Costco to get what we needed. Space The cabin itself is as described; quite cozy, but enough space for the two of us and our pup. While the space (cabin, firepit & table) is separated, I wouldn't say it's secluded, since there are other sites across the dirt road. Not a problem at all, but just something to be aware of. While there's not potable water, there's a sink w/ running water nearby, which was great for washing and collecting water to put out the campfire. Very convenient. The toilet was way cleaner than we had expected! Some things I thought would be great to have in the cabin: -screen door on the window that leads to the small deck -some sort of cover on the front door, to cover up the window. Overall, it was well worth the price and we had a great time! Thank you!

rv parking

Overall, the experience camping here was good. Multiple portable bathrooms and firewood for use. Lots of activities available (tetherball, Badminton, soccer ball, etc). We used an "RV Site" for tent camping since it was last minute; it was just a patch of grass in the open next to the playground. If you want any privacy or a fire ring, be sure to book an actual tent spot. There was frequent noise overnight from the nearby passing trains and quite a bit of activity on the property. I did not hear from or see the host throughout the stay, which could be a positive or negative depending on who you are.

Campsite #1 at Cedar Star Ranch

Overall we had a great experience, the sites were a little smaller then anticipated and hard to decipher exactly what was included in the site. The description stated that there was a picnic table and fire pit included but our site did not have a fire pit. I would not be opposed to stay here again but would be in consideration to choose a different site at this location.
