Inaccessible land & Rude Host
Arriving at the gate, you wouldn't even know you were in the right place. Heavy gate marked with No Trespassing, Video Surveillance, Electric wire etc. We were just about to turn around at the gate and go to town to message the host, when we saw a woman in the distance and honked. She grudgingly came toward the gate, and when asked acknowledged that she was with Hipcamp. She then rudely said, "the gate is unlocked, you could just come in." But this is not the sort of gate you push open without permission. It gives off "shoot first, ask questions later" type vibes. She didn't tell us where to go, just gestured to the left. There is one sign that says "Adventure Camp" on the left side. Then it's just an old logging acreage, with a barely passable lumber scrap "road" and no signage. We drove for quite a while and only found thick and high bramble fields, first regrowth of the old logging site, nowhere to put a tent. When we backtracked eventually we found the one "site" where you can technically pitch a tent. There is a river rock fire pit, and some relatively cleared land around, but still covered in small brambles. We spent $35 for the night. The same amount can get you far better on Hipcamp. I would not recommend this site, due to the rude host and the unmarked, inaccessible areas. As a P.S., there are some very friendly dogs on the property. The one that hung around our camp was emaciated and looking for food all night.
