Welcome to our small Farm and Inn, nestled in the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains in Madison County, Virginia. Located just minutes from Shenandoah National Park, we offer intimate nature-inspired cottages and camping on our 120-acre working farm. Enjoy an evening under the stars with fireflies and a campfire after a long day hike, fly fishing on one of our beautiful trout steams or touring the local vineyards and breweries. We currently offer one cottage and a few campsites for our guests. Our campsites are all private, located acres apart with tables, chairs, firepits, some elevated sleeping areas, some hammock spots and a few with a roof. Many of our spots require walking away from your vehicle, short distances. We have three drive-in sites that will accommodate one or two vehicles. We do not allow RVs or trailers due to our narrow mountain driveway. Camper vans are welcome! Our farm store includes Animal Welfare Approved products such as Eggs, Chicken, Beef, Pork, Lamb and Dairy from the farm as well as produce, jams and mushrooms and other items from our local community. We offer camping essentials, local art, bike rentals, farm experiences and tours. The property has miles of trails along mountain spring-fed streams, a small pond and access to three private acres on the Robinson River, a stocked Trout stream, just 2 miles down the road. Our property is centrally located to White Oak Canyon and Old Rag Mountain trailheads in the Shenandoah National Park as well as many vineyards and breweries. Please check in with us about current rentals and camp availability. We are in the process of restoring an 1850s Chestnut log cabin, which will be available for our guests to rent as well as other cottages.

Birdsong Camp: Near Shenandoah NP
Camping like Snow White!
So incredibly well done. Jennifer has created the most magical experience with her land for campers! It felt secluded and private which rarely comes with accommodations such a flushing toilet and shower! Her store is so cute and it was a treat to hang with her animals. 10000/10!!

Birdsong!
Such a magical stay! The campsite was stunning, spacious- we had four tents total and didn’t feel on top of each other. It’s a nice walk to the farm stand, you’ll see so many animals along the way! Definitely a highlight. The amenities were such a nice touch ( very clean! ), especially with two littles. It made clean up super easy. The host, Jen was incredible, very kind. She told us all about the animals and the property. And the market/shop had really great pieces. We all can’t wait to go back!

Good times
I loved the privacy, their beautiful property, the way they have it designed, the farm store, the animals, the firewood, the host’s friendliness and responsiveness. It felt very safe and clean there. I highly recommend it. She even gave us good directions. Thank you! The night we were there, I think some stray dogs got onto the property and barked all night long. It wasn’t that big a deal, but a little disturbing. Don’t think it was anyone’s fault. Verizon cell service isn’t good on top of the hill, but you can go across the street.

Weekend out of a fairytale!
Camping trip out of a fairytale. The campgrounds are secluded, peaceful, and beautiful. The hosts are as kind as can be and have all sorts of gear in case you need to rent (we forgot our pots and pans and they had a cooking set available). Happy animals hanging out, cute market with all of the essentials and then some and farm goods like fresh eggs. Our site (butterfly camp) was AWESOME. Terraced with fluffy green grass everywhere and perfect spots to put your tent, Adirondack chairs, and totally private. Thanks for a perfect weekend!

It was very comfortable camping here. Everything was easy to get to and not too far from a store if there is anything you may have forgotten.

Beautiful Property
We had a nice time at Landon Farms Birdsong campsite. Amenities are helpful. Property is beautiful. Farm store was very nice. Animals were cute. We were given a map of the surrounding area, but in hindsight we wished we had a map of the trails on the property. Hard to get another chance to ask with no service & when property owner is out and about- but don’t fault her for it. You can see why she’s so busy! One down side I will say- was the very* loud music coming from what (we assume) is the winery across the street? Not sure. But there was blaring music (and an airhorn??) until well after midnight our second night (Saturday). Again, not something I fault the property owner for. But we’re from the country- it was louder at our campsite than it is at home 😬 Not exactly the immersion in nature we had in mind. Maybe we just came on a wild weekend- but if that sounds annoying to you maybe inquire about what they have going on nearby before booking 😊
