We are a working farm, scenic setting with a 200 year old farm house, quiet and peaceful, nestled at the foot of the Blue Ridge mountains. Close to historic sites, such as Monticello, Montpelier, and the Manassas Civil War Battlefield. Luray Caverns and Sky Line Drive can be found 30 to 40 miles west. We are one hour southwest of D.C. and one hour northeast of Charlottesville. During your stay you can sample from one of the many wineries/breweries in the area. If your traveling with your horse, we have indoor stalls and turnout available.

Site 2 - Narrow Gate Farm
Camping at narrow gate farm was beautiful and super fun! The owners are responsive and kind and we had a great time.

Site 5 - Narrow Gate Farm
Narrow Gate Farm was perfect for our intended purpose: a shake-down trip with our new travel trailer. We were hooked to electricity and water and were able to test out how everything about how the trailer functions. We ended up having an issue with our awning and the host's son helped us manually close it. We were grateful for that! The farm dogs were very friendly-one even followed me on a walk down the country road, but we were unable to sit outside with our dog on his leash because we were unsure of how he would react. We visited nearby Shenandoah National Park and drove down Skyline Drive for a bit. The views were amazing even though we missed the peak.

Such a wonderful stay, with a beautiful view and even better host. We were able to let our kids play and our dog got to run free and play with their dogs.

Site 5 - Narrow Gate Farm
This was an absolutely wonderful camping experience! Narrow gate farm is a beautiful location and the site we had was up on a hill overlooking the mountains. Jim was a wonderful host and made all of the directions super clear. Great hook up to electricity and water and I’ve never had stargazing like we did last night! The best part of all is that we have a wonderful dog who got to roam off leash on the farm and meet other great dogs and people. We will absolutely be back!

Site 3 - Narrow Gate Farm
Can’t wait to camp again!!
I car camped here for a couple nights & loved every minute! The first night was solo and then had a friend meeting me for the second night. So quiet and peaceful & you get beautiful views of both the sunrise and sunset! Jim & Cyndi were so kind & welcoming and their dogs are the best!! Can’t wait to come back!

This was a great spot! Ample firewood, flat ground, and just a quiet peaceful place to be.
