The Guinea farm is 18 acres of feild and forest on the rural middle pennensula. Only 1 mile from 2 separate secluded beaches and a boat launch. There is verly little traffic or light polution here, nature is at your fingertips. Come visit the farm and experience agrotourism at it's finest. Pick your own veggies in the community garden and meet the Guinea fowl! Enjoy the windernes and learn about the local ecosystem here on the middle pennensula. There are 3 sites spaced out across the 18 acres set apart for privacy. Wisteria is a primative site closer to the entrance gate. Trilogy is a suspended tree tent in the pines 700' beyond that and seperated by dense forest. Stargazer Tiny cabin is an offgrid rustic camping cabin on the back side of the property. Each site is surronded by several acres of forest and close to the edge of a large feild. There are romaing guinea fowl that may come make a very loud appearance as they canvas the property eating bugs. Deer, Turkeys, Bald Eagles, foxes, and other wildlife are common guests also. Mid-summer is what I call frog season, Tree frogs are abundant and provide a wonderful soundtrack. There are free to use bicycles, an axe throwing board, and cornhole boards available. 4 miles from shopping and dining in Mathews Virginia, 15 miles to Gwynn Island. Gwynn's Island is an island located in the Chesapeake Bay off of Virginia's Middle Peninsula. The island is located in the northeast part of Mathews County, south of the mouth of the Piankatank River. It is connected to the rest of the county by a swing bridge over Milford Haven.

Trilogy

Do It!!!

We loved our experience in the trilogy site! We were able to have our dogs off leash with us on the property which was very nice. In addition there are two beaches in either direction only a few minutes down the road which allowed for exploring adventures. Ian communicated all details as well as extra advice before we got to the property which was greatly appreciated. We loved our stay!!

Trilogy

If you are looking for a peaceful and private site, off the beaten path, but near 2 quiet beaches, this is the spot! The Guinea Farm ranks above any other Hipcamp stays i've had! My first night was spent in the Trilogy, a great site for tent campers. The site was very well kept and it was obvious that the property is well cared for. The fire pit was large and had a grate, a definite plus. I spent my 2nd night in the Treehouse. Wow! Such a unique space, offering a gas grill top, and a comfortable place to hang out in the trees. The lights at night are an added touch. Ian is a fantastic host! He offers big bundles of wood, delivered on site. Very quick to respond and incredibly friendly. He truly cares about his property, guests, and all of his animals. Book now! You won't be disappointed.

Trilogy

My partner, 3 dogs, and myself had an amazing time camping at trilogy. The sites have many helpful and convenient touches. The property is beautiful and the sites are spread out enough to have our dogs off leash. The host was very kind and communicative and I’m really excited to come back & try out the other sites! We were also fortunate enough to see the northern lights during our stay!

Stargazer Tiny Cabin

Glamping with pets!!

We absolutely loved our stay in the Stargazer Cabin! You definitely felt like you were sleeping under the stars every night but with comfortable amenities including HOT showers. Ian was more than accommodating during our entire stay and very welcoming of our three pups. We enjoyed meeting the chickens, guineas and turkeys on the farm. So much personality in their little bodies! The location was perfect with a practically private beach just down the road and many more beaches in the area to check out. We will definitely be back!

We had a great time at the Stargazer cabin. Ian is an awesome host! Pictures don't do this place justice. Atmosphere and vibe is amazing. We even got to get up close and personal with the bird. 10/10 would recommend a visit to Ian's farm/campsite!

Wisteria Treehouse

Tree house camping with mom & dogs!

This was the second time my mom, dogs, and myself went to Ian's hipcamp. Last time we stayed in the cabin, this time we stayed in the treehouse. And I don't know how to put into words how amazing it has been! This has been our favorite spot so far. The tree house was so much fun. Beautiful views everywhere you looked. Super private! You can't see the tree house unless you are right by it. There is a shower. It was covered on 3 sides, we just brought a cheapo shower curtain to hang up just to have a little more privacy. I love love love the guineas that roam. Also if it's warm out, there are 2 little beaches nearby which we enjoyed. The dogs loved it too. If you are up in the air about where to stay, just stay here!
